Adult TV for kids

What adult TV is suitable/good for kids (5/7) to watch, or at least ignore while they play?

My 7 year old loves Is it cake? and Race around the World. All Creatures Great and Small is a bit slow for them but fine for the adults to watch while the kids are around. Nature documentaries obviously.

Nothing remotely scary, minor swearing fine!

My two absolute love Stacey Solomon's Sort your life out. They love seeing the messy homes and then the transformation and how much stuff is in the warehouse laid out. It's a funny programme to like but they love it.

Also they liked Masterchef 😩

There is a Taskmaster version with no swearing in it which my two loved. Must have been done with kids in mind as I see there is actually now a Taskmaster for kids.

Mine loves is it lava. I thought it would be awful but it's actually quite entertaining.

Mine loves old Alice Roberts programmes and the Michael Palin travel shows which are all on iPlayer. And anything David Attenborough and paleontology which are also there in abundance.

Mine grew up with history and science documentaries and I was always surprised how much they'd picked up.

Bake off and design masters are loved here.
