@ForPearlViper "What really worries me is the BBC's building up these people that think are 'talent' and then giving them lots of airtime"
I listened to a podcast by Richard Osman and I can't remember who else was on it (This is Entertainment ) - but he has an opinion that the BBC are becoming more risk averse - so eg they BBC see GW has been on that programme for donkeys years and viewing figures are good - he is the continuity so they they think - if it isn't broken don't fix it he's a safe pair of hands ( I hope I am - whilst paraphrasing - getting the gist of his argument - happy to be told if wrong.
That said if he's done half of what he is accused of (and we must wait for the investigation) then others have questions to answer if they knew about it. I hope they will be quick and diligent in their investigation. - given others recently.
I still think he adds nothing to the programme and I did many years ago phone the BBC complaints line to complain about his patronising behaviour towards female contestants - I wasn't talking about anything like the current allegations.
I like Masterchef and I hope it doesn't end but regardless of anything else I am one who watched It despite GW not because of him.
