State of Happiness - there is a series 3! and it starts tonight on BBC 4!

I thought State of Happiness series 1 was one of the best tv shows ever. (The impact on a small fishing community of American money and influence when oil was discovered off the Norwegian coast. Many wonderful female characters. And 70s music soundtrack.)

Series 2 wasn't quite as wonderful, but I think partly because I knew the back stories. But, interesting to see how given the opportunity women were breaking out of their expected roles.

So am really excited to find there is a series 3, but wont be expecting too much of it. But so want to see how the characters lives have moved on.

I've binged it. All set up nicely for Series 4.

I’ve stalled halfway through the penultimate episode of S2 - I can see where it’s going and can’t face the sadness. May get back to it when I’m feeling more resilient. It’s been outstanding so far. I think I’ve enjoyed S2 even more than the first, but …

Although there will be no series 4.

Oh no! I need to know about Marie's venture among other things. 😔

It's very sad and upset me a lot but life does go on.

That sounded harsh but the characters do move on and Series 3 starts about 10 years later.
