Was Ross a police officer? I'm fairly new to Emmerdale and don't really know his background

No he was pretending to be one. Him and Donna were trying to steal money from the gangster she took over the edge of building. She knew she didn't have long to live and wanted April to have financial security.

When are the Dingles/Tracey going to start wondering why Nate hasn't been in touch? Surely if he doesn't get in touch with Frankie for Christmas they'll realise it's out of character.

The fact that Nate just upped and left without saying goodbye and only told John is out of character enough let alone his continued absence and not getting in touch.

I did wonder last night with Tracey saying she's finding life hard as a single mum and how Nate just left for Shetland whether his disappearance will be revisited 🤷🏻‍♀️

The direction was very good tonight.

Cain has been turned into an utter moron. Moira is meant to be his queen and he's off shagging Ruby, getting into fights, disappearing overnight rather than spending time with his wife, getting arrested and missing important hospital appointments. No wonder Moira wants rid ☹️

All the stories have stalled

It's just occurred to me that a while ago some of us were bemoaning how Cain had changed and gone soft since he's been with Moira. 'Old Cain would never behave like that' sort of thing.

What if for once the storyliners have taken notice of viewers and this is how Cain gets back to his mean, moody and magnificent self? The unfathomable episode with Ruby being the start of it?
