I wasn’t keen on Ruby for her first few episodes but quickly warmed to her character. I think the episode when she was invited to the dinner party and dished out a few home truths around the table was the turning point for me.

I have an intense dislike for Caleb and hate the way he treats her. Ruby gets briefly angry at him then just forgives him again. He’s a piece of work and I wish Ruby would get the better of him once and for all. Now she’s got creepy dad/grandad on the scene to add to her mental torment.

Don't forget the night club!!

Where did Caleb get all his money from? That house must be worth a lot. And Eric’s. I wonder how much he lost? Would the bank not take into account his Parkinson’s?

Just catching up again! DF said Eric can't sell the shop as it's David's? I wasn't sure how it ended with him leaving, only that it was down to his ex (can't remember her name) having a fling with Jacob.

Didn't Eric buy the shop off David when he got in a mess about something.
Jade and her stupid story can fuck right off.
I think Bob's been hiding away in the jungle in that jacket for the last few weeks.
I don't believe a word the grandad says - either about the cancer or the past - crocodile tears. Never thought I would feel sorry for Ruby but the daughter is being too forceful with the grandad thing and Caleb is just a waste of space.

I think Caleb is awful but at the same time I find him very attractive. Maddening! I think he's a good actor though. I want Ruby to get revenge on him for the way he treats her but shagging Cain isn't the way to go about it.

I agree about Ruby’s garage romp with Cain. I wish the script writers didn’t do that to the characters. It was pointless

Now @JaneJeffer I think you need a visit to Specsavers. I couldn't find somebody as short as Caleb attractive.

Ruby’s sobbing outside the house was so realistic. I found it really heartbreaking.
If he is dying Ruby needs to have her say. This is the scriptwriters chance to show there is help and support for survivors of historic sexual abuse, doubt they’ll do that though.

I think it's too obvious that the grandad abused Ruby. It could be something else.
