Just watching now. So heartwarming but sad too. They'd have made lovely parents.
Has anyone seen this documentary?

Yes it was really wonderful.

Glad you enjoyed it @shumway . It's something for all the family.

I loved it. I want my own Molly 😅 but a lovely, heartwarming story

Beautiful film, I loved it. DH put it on and I found myself engrossed in it. They are a wonderful couple. I wonder why they didn't adopt or foster. They would have made lovely parents.

The scenery and water were a secondary delight as well. Shetland is a stunning place.

Is there anything awful in it? (aka Watership Down/Tarka the Otter) or is it just generally heartwarming.

I'm always a bit wary of animal films as I generally end up in floods of tears (see above plus Marley & Me and Bambi).

No spoilers I guess, but just a bit of a headsup!

There's one thing but I'll pm you it.

I thought that too about adopting or fostering.

As someone childfree not by choice, decisions on whether to adopt, foster etc are never easy. Please don't make this about their decisions. We know Billy does not have children but Susan does. He was also battling grief after losing both of his parents.
Anyway, moving on. The documentary was absolutely beautiful and I loved it. I'm glad to see a thread about it, I was going to start one myself.

LushLemonTart · 18/11/2024 22:35

@StrongFemaleCharacter fair enough. I must have missed her having dcs? Lovely place for dcs to live if they had.

@LushLemonTart I was googling it after I watched it and thought maybe I'd missed it in the programme but it's in this article: How Molly the otter became my best friend
