Rose,Martha or Donna ?

Martha here,with Rose a close second

Oh, definitely Rose, with Martha 2nd. Donna is still a bit 'Catherine Tate' for me, although I'm warming to her. She said something in the Pompeii episode(When they were in a tunnel and she said to the Doctor 'I bloody love you') that totally made me think of Nan from the 'CT Show'.

Saw this in active convs and thought it was a baby name thread - so was going to say Rose.

But actually, still Rose. Rose with Christopher Eccleston dream team. Haven't been able to get as interested in a Dr Who relationship since.

Martha is my favourite because she has intelligence and had the courage to walk away from a doomed relationship. Donna's growing on me--I like her politics! And although I think Rose was an interesting character, she was just too young for me to care about.

martha is me in my imagination. smart, clever, a doctor, beautiful, and just very clever emotionally as well.
rose just annoys me
donna is what i want to be like when i grow up. (the fact that i am already the characters age has nothing to do with anything, )

Catherine Tate is awful as Donna. She overacts, slips in and out of her totally unfunny comedy characters, gurns and is absolutely wrong.

Bring back Rose. Bring back Martha. Bring back Sally Sparrow. Have the Dr travel on his own. Anything but Donna.

I could believe the relationships of Rose and Martha with the Doctor. Donna's is too sitcom-ish. In fact the programme is a bit like a sit-com now with both of them having witty one-liners or put-downs all the way through

Donna - funny, brash and gobby...just like me. More 'normal' than the other two

Martha - too girlie girlie!! Not a good actor and very unconvincing as a Doctor.

Rose was okay with Ecclestons doc - but didn't work with Tennant.

martha - a doctor in her own right who walked the earth apreading the news of the doctor, so that the earth could be saved. then rose, although her head is a funny shape and she was a bit 'ooh! save meee!' and wimpy. then everyone else ever, then Donna.

donna is great. She makes me laugh! She is by far the best.

I agree that, by rights, it should be Martha on top. (cue fanfic)

But she's just not been given enough to do onscreen, and that's what has truly let the character down. Yes, ok, Freema isn't yet a great actress, but she wasn't really given that much to do with the scripts, tbh.

Donna. I thought I'd hate her but no unresolved sexual tension is great. Much better.

Martha would have been a lot better if they'd given her better storylines to work with.

Rose was fab.

Noooo, there's no UST. None. It does not exist, in this, or the alternate universe.

Although, I did love the way he told her she was brilliant, holding the phone to his mouth like that. I'd be quite happy to manufacture some UST with him if he did that for me.

Martha very annoying, and as others have said Rose was far better with CE somehow. Donna is a good foil for the doctor.
Still would like to see Sally Sparrow back though.

Otherwise, Donna's growing on me because there's no UST and she bosses him around - and I never really watched CT.

Martha's improved since she was on Torchwood, but I hated her before she 'left'. Her only redeeming part was the final episode when she'd improved no end.

I liked Rose, but not so much. I think I'm the only person who didn't cry in her last episode, and she WAS better with CE.
