S2 starts tomorrow on Apple TV featuring some excellent new cast additions from Killing Eve- Fiona Shaw and Owen McDonnell.

Trailer looks like it’ll be as good as S1

Oh sorry I stand corrected. I thought it was a beach near them. That's a massive drive in real life, you don't really get a sense of that!

Also, why has "Cormac Sweeney", from Donegal and a PSNI ex member, got a southside Dublin accent? I was waiting for him to break into pure Donegal when unmasked but no.

Donegal is in the republic. Cormac is from somewhere else in NI, can't recall where. I thought i detected a twinge of a northern accent. But I just looked it up and the actor is from Galway.

I mean, I get they took him to Sliabh Liag because gorgeous Irish scenery, but they didn't need to mention the name. Its not like Dublin lacks cliffs...but maybe they are busier and they wanted somewhere quiet?

Anyone know where the very last scene was filmed, where the ashes were put in the sea?

I want to know too! Reminds me a bit of a gorgeous beach I went to once in Kerry called the nuns beach. But I don't think its there.

SagaNorensPorche · 25/12/2024 13:09

The last two episodes were much better but it definitely seemed like closure so hopefully that's the end of the series as we know it. I'd love to know where the last scene was filmed too. I spent all my summers in Ireland as a child and wish I'd appreciated the scenery a bit more - it really is breathtaking 💚💚

I just can't get over Blanaid as a name. Not pretty. Or even whatever!
One episode to go here.

Did you mean to be so rude? It’s a traditional Gaelic name. Many of us have one IRL.

Blathnaid is Irish for flower and it's a beautiful name in our native language

Thought this series- as the first- was brilliant. (Crickey to all the comments about it not being believable in parts🤣) It’s sublime writing, wonderful dark humour and I can’t get enough of it, I’m disappointed that it closed off so well, I’m thinking we won’t see the Garveys again?

snarkygal · 27/12/2024 18:43

Just finished watching it. I enjoyed it but yeah think it should call it a day. Just had a chat with my sisters about which garvey sister they’re most like. Anyone done the same? We all agreed with each other which one we were like the most, quite funny.

MonkeyTennis34 · 29/12/2024 18:03

Loved the last episode particularly Angelica clocking Ian/Cormac round the head!

I was in tears at the end and thought the flashbacks to their youth with Grace was touching.

Has anybody managed to see the Belgian original? Apparently it was on Ch4 as Out-laws, but was called Clan in Belgium.

I can't find it on Prime or Apple.

For me, season 2 lost its way jn the middle, only to be rescued by the brilliant Fiona Shaw.

Wallasey123 · 02/01/2025 09:43

I agree, Fiona Shaw was brilliant! I was unsure at first on whether she would be a good enough villain cos I didn’t hate her as much as JP but the twist that she’s actually good / last episode was really good.

I do wish we had more on her though! The rabbit and chain around her thigh thing was bizarre!!

Who was the lady with long dark hair on the beach with the youngest ones boyfriend?

The wife of the sister wearing the eye patch.

FrenchandSaunders · 06/01/2025 19:22

Oh yes of course 🤦‍♀️, thank you.

FrenchandSaunders · 06/01/2025 19:23

And pregnant which is great to see … even though it’s fiction 🤣

Just binge watched both series as we're on an apple TV trial. Loved season one and season two was good but had so many loose ends of the plot that didn't make sense. How coukd Cormac still have a wife and children? Are they implying his wife was in on him marrying grace for her money? And no obvious consequences for urs taking drugs at work. I also don't know the likelihood of angelica surviving being in the sea for several hours? It does feel like we gave to suspend disbelief entirely! The plot of the first one was so solid, so clever, you can tell it had different people writing the story. I'm still glad they made season two, though. Anyone else want to go to Ireland for a holiday now?!
