Sorry! I'm not sure why it's posted twice!

Initial thoughts:
Couple’s Choice for both Pete and Chris, so they are bound to be top of the leaderboard, ams therefore safe with their public vote as well.

Yet another samba, and this time by JB amd Lauren. It will be interesting to see hiw he fares with Lauren with the samba, with it being a tough dance ans notorious for putting people out of the competition.

Sarah should be okay with American Smooth.

I like Wynne's song but we'll see whether he manages to avoid the bottom 2 again.

Jamie doing Atgentine Tango to Arctic Monkeys which I'm actually looking forward to, even though I think it should only be performed in week 10 the earliest! I think it will be more of the Bobby Brazier type AT rather than Mark Ramprakesh.

Shayne and Nancy doing rumba, but again, I think it has potential for putting them in the bottom 2, as it really needs to be striking to score high.

How does a quickstep work with Fantasy? It doesn't seem fast enough, and I can't imagine them running around the floor or doing the pendulum to any part of it!

There seems to have been a lack of joves and charlestons, but hopefully that means we'll get more of them later on.

I think Shayne will be in trouble this week with a rumba and having been bottom two previously. I wouldn’t have a clue who is likely to be bottom two with him though based on the other dances and song choices.

I was just thinking where’s the jives and charlestons. Not had very many at all.

I can't call it.
Personally Montell vs Tasha based on music alone, as Sarah has the Miranda vote for this one/Vito fanbase but some of the others might be forgettable or car crashes. I think Jamie's safe and JB will potentially get a Lauren boost. If Montell gets a bottom 2 bounce then unless overmarked (Aljaz is always guilty of gapping) Tasha could find herself vulnerable for the first time.
Pete/Wynne/Chris's vote have all been tested previously.
Shayne and JB have been bottom 2 before.
It will be interesting.

None of them have been great given that it's meant to be a crowd pleasing fun dance.

I agree about there being too many sambas. I think everyone left in the competition will have done the samba by this weekend. Again, none of them have wowed me this series.

Lordy, thinking now - Chris the zombie, Tash the stiff monster, Sarah the Italian floozy, Montell to fuego, Jamie in shorts, Pete as Tarzan, Toyah as Ursula, Paul in a BBQ apron? I'm going to check which ones I've got right and which I've forgotten entirely but yikes, there's few diamonds there.

Forgot week 1 sambas - Shayne (Do I do. The judges panned the choreo) and Wynne (Just help yourself. I did wonder why he'd not picked Tom Jones as his icon: forgot he'd danced to him already in a chef's outfit!)

Forgot Sam's Shakira samba - quite liked that one tbf

Paul's BBQ routine was salsa Karen the Carwash was his samba.

Forgot Jamie's George Michael samba but that may have been deliberate

I am so impressed by how some of you recall dances going back many series! I don't remember half of the dances until the end of the show, and I've watched Strictly for all of its 20 years! I'm not even sure I could pick some of the dances apart either!!

Maybe I am just dance-challenged!!

Well, I misremembered Jamie's salsa in shorts as his samba which was only Saturday so I think my long term memory's better and my short-term memory's shot!!!
It's a poor show that none of the sambas are standouts, although I know some liked Aljaz's schtick: maybe JB's - the last one - will be the best of a bad bunch.

The pros aren't daft though - get rid of the samba, keep the more popular Charleston for later or for when they are knackered or lumbered with two numbers: that's when you get the outside choreographers in.

That said, my long term memory is also going these days. I was sure Aliona did a dance to Mas Que Nada Black-eyed peas version as they wore blue like the bird in Rio. But I'm going to have to look for it. Maybe it was Kara.

Def think Shayne could be in the DO again with a rumba - and will the judges save him again if it's obvious the public are not voting for him? Won't the producers want to get shot and keep the more popular ones?

Some music choices that are interesting. I love Time After Time but I'm not looking forward to Shayne's rumba. I think it will be cringe and awkward. Too much bad rumba!

I think if Pete’s vote is as sturdy as last week suggests it is, this week’s dance-off could be the first one where there isn’t an obvious weaker couple.

Montell should get a bounce from being in the bottom two last week, and JB will probably be protected by sympathy and a resurgence in his vote from those who think Lauren shouldn’t have been benched.

I’m predicting a Shayne/Wynne DO And wondering how many times the judges will save Shayne 🤔

Shayne is a bit forgettable anyway, but hair, makeup and wardrobe really aren't helping by making him look completely different every week!
