Not commented on here before because I usually watch on catch up but watched live tonight and got to put my votes in. I voted for Chris, Sam and Pete.

NeedWineNow · 19/10/2024 22:05

Checking in, thank you for the new thread!

BogRollBOGOF · 19/10/2024 22:07

It feels quite an open competition this year with a high risk of shock dance-off results.

dollybird · 19/10/2024 22:35

Voted Chris and two for Punam. Would've given one vote to Shayne as I enjoyed his dance, but we were watching behind (DGD staying over tonight).

Thought Wynne was overmarked, but did enjoy his dance. Didn't think Jamie deserved his score either, but I don't always like traditional paso's.

Octoberaddsagale · 19/10/2024 22:39

I voted for Punam, JB and Chris.

Wynne’s was not the most attractive or flattering costume tonight, I thought.

Choux · 19/10/2024 23:00

Do you think they have a second clean costume for Wynne in case he's in the dance off? Because he now has paint on his arse. Or was he overmarked so he wouldn't end up in the dance off?

Twonewcats · 19/10/2024 23:29

Finally caught up after dozing off on the settee 😬😬
Jamie's paso was wonderful. I love when they do actual traditional dances 🥹
Petes music was horrific. Why would anyone suggest Oasis for a rumba?! Ugh.

Please God, could Paul go away this week?

Don't forget there is a separate spoilers thread if you cant wait!

mydogisthebest · 20/10/2024 07:48

Could not agree more about Oasis music for a rhumba. A rhumba is meant to be sexy and there is absolutely nothing remotely sexy about that song

ilovesooty · 20/10/2024 08:46

This might be controversial but I'd sooner keep Paul who is applying himself and showing signs of improvement than some of the already trained dancers. He might not have much actual talent but he's also been dealt a pretty tough hand in terms of the dance choices so far.

xsquared · 20/10/2024 09:06

I feel sorry for Wynne. All his dances so far with the exception of the VW have been comedy ones where you're laughing at him rather than with him.

Jamie amd Michelle were very good.

Mojo's made me smile. They're just so good together.

Agree

Samcro · 20/10/2024 11:37

I would rather keep Paul too.
I find it annoying that week 5 and you just know that Tasha will be in the final.

Agreed - and won't win. No way would Paul make the final but I think the genuine beginners who are really trying their best deserve a bit more encouragement.

PrueRamsay · 20/10/2024 11:59

Yeah, Tasha is a huge ringer. Very annoying.

Sans personality.

It's not controversial at all. It's only me who likes the ringers year after year. Not this year though.😁

Pashazade · 20/10/2024 13:03

Problem is I don't mind a ringer, it can be nice to have something impressive to watch, but I cannot warm to Tasha there is so little personality coming through in the dance and her partnership with Aliash is leaving me cold......

Lentilweaver · 20/10/2024 13:05

It's probably a blessing that we are not seeing Paul's true personality either.

EsmaCannonball · 20/10/2024 13:12

I think I automatically put anyone from Love Island or TOWIE into the willing to do anything/sell their soul for fame category.

Not keen on Paul either. He is one of those people who gets given a pass for being 'troubled' but there is just an underlying bad vibe from him. Bad casting.

TheShellBeach · 20/10/2024 13:23

Undoubtedly.

What is it with these middle-aged men who have eight children with a series of brief relationships.
🤮

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/10/2024 13:24

Tasha and Aljaz have a personality issue for sure, they aren't making that connection with the audience I don't think

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/10/2024 13:26

Hmmm. Yes, a whitewashing of Paul.... hadn't really considered it in any depth

OP posts:
Runningupthecurtains · 20/10/2024 13:27

Aljaz seems to have done a reverse of most pros for whom English is not their first language he seems to say less/ display less personality as he spends longer in the UK.

FrothyCothy · 20/10/2024 13:28

Caught up this morning. Liked Jamie, loved Montel, enjoyed Sarah. Hated Pete 🤢 couldn’t work out if Wynne had a slip on the bench or if it was intentional but way overmarked either way.
