Yes there were veg. I think I saw red onions and peppers. Just for some reason, Nathan wasn't allowed any.

Maybe the programme set the mum up. Perhaps the gave her the ingredients and didn’t give any veg?

Yes, on one of the podcasts - I think it was MAFS Hysteria - they said that the mum had been told she was going to cook chicken fajitas. Having said that, if I'd turned up there ready to cook them, once I heard the boyfriend was vegetarian I'd tell the girls to pick up something else for him. She behaved very oddly.

So the programme did set her up to an extent. I mean they provided vegetables but perhaps in her nervousness or whatever, she didn’t think and just stuck straight to what she had been told to do. The programme makers definitely knew he was vegetarian so they could have said to her. Nathan is vegetarian so we provided you with a vegetarian meal to cook for everyone or a vegetarian option for him

They wanted to show her ignorance. That's not fair. Participants in the show know they might have a problem with social media but one of the parents shouldn't have that.

Lacey's mother came across as narrow minded, rather ignorant and as subtle as a sledgehammer. There may well be a side of her which is nothing like any of these but, sadly, I didn't see it. I felt really sorry for Nathan being left alone with her, for the first time, and her being so negative towards him. 🌹

The producers would have organised it all - given the mum the food to bring and told them what was happening step by step - except they would have left out the fact he was vegetarian. There would have been discussions before filming about what questions she should ask, what she should be concerned about - it is all manipulated for entertainment.

Talking of manipulation @dontbesillyofcourse , Paige's IG is very much a lesson in the power of a good filter; not quite the same mother that we saw on Thursday! 🤣

Lacey’s mum. FFS! Turning up at a vegetarian’s home with chicken and veg fajitas, refusing to cook the veg separately so the vegetarian can have some, and insisting that the the vegetarian preps the raw meat! Ignorance at its finest. And asking him if he’s in love with her daughter after two weeks. Give it a rest.

lol at this. I'm old and if I had my time over again I'd definitely ditch the beast and go straight for Gaston ...or Luke. I'm not saying they would have become life partners but it would have been an enjoyable memory.

Orson is ok. I want to see a bit more about him though. I find him a bit dull. But he's probably the long term option.
