So Lacey's mum can't take banter but on her way out she makes jokes about the flowers? Talk about double standards!

I've spent so much time shouting at the screen this week. Firstly Eve and the whole lying thing - I am so glad they called her out on that. It was disgusting to watch. Poor Charlie.

And last night, Lacey's mum - she is horrific. I felt so so sorry for Nathan with their screaming at the door. He was immediately overwhelmed and then everything he did was "wrong". As soon as she realised he was vegetarian she should have opted to make a veggie meal. The sister seems like she has to placate the mum constantly, her and Lacey were totally lost in FOG and have been trained to avoid mad ma kicking off over nothing.

It was horrible watching him take the blame for things he cannot help. His comment wasn't meant maliciously and dear god it's not like her called her a cunt or something. Any wonder Lacey has been single - the mums a walking red flag.

Will be interesting to see how the group react to the new folk. I feel they've deliberately kept back slim pretty girls to cause issues - should be a fun dinner party coming up!

I'm marvelling at the power of editing whereby at the wedding Lacey's sister was made to look prettier and nicer than her (for the mix up storyline), versus the more candid shots last night showing how she is very much not the full shilling.

Fuming on behalf of poor Nathan. Why has Lacey’s mum asked him what he thinks of the constantly baffled looking sister only to shoot him down when he said something along the lines of she’s beautiful but I like Lacey. She was like no you just do not say that. You don’t say that about your wife’s sister. Poor nathan literally couldn’t say anything right and didn’t even get food.

With a sense of growing doom, Nathan realises he hasn't just 'married' Lacey he's wed the whole lot of them.

And their children can be weaned on…

No wonder Lacey has self esteem issues. Her mum couldn't comprehend why Nathan would find her attractive at all.

@TheMauveTiger he might have got a sense of what the MIL was like before Lacey even got up the aisle, remember her whooping and hollering and almost salivating over his appearance. State of the woman, honestly.

I've just been reading about what the twins have been on before. Dress to Impress, twice, both of them and Lacey was on Fred's Last Resort last year. Haven't seen any of that. Lacey is also 'friends' or at least social media friends, with three of the brides from the previous series of MAFS.

Lacey's mother. Wishing she had a crack at Your Mum, My Dad. Unfortunately for her, they seem like mostly normal people on there.

I didn't think Lacey's sister was the greater beauty who had overshadowed poor Lacey (bonny though she is). Perhaps as Lacey has been away and become
happier in herself, she has felt less need to cover up with the harsh makeup and hair she used before. More flattering.

I was surprised LipLady committing to this if her dad is awaiting a treatment plan for cancer up north. Can they go and visit from the ixperiment?

Luke seemed irritating. Full of preconceptions and constantly posturing. I think she saw through him. Probably not a bad bloke but a bit of a ham, I expect wants to get into showbiz. If it doesn't work ASAP, I hope she doesn't waste time on him since her dad is ill. some things are more important.

she seems very self centred. She was always going to cry so she got all the attention from her daughters. She spoke about Nathan like he wasn’t in the room. She also seems to have an obsession with the ‘prettier’ twin and likes to go on about it a lot under the guise of protecting Lacey when really she’s causing the insecurities by creating a problem there when Nathan has never at any point preferred the twin.

I suspect they've had a lifetime of her doing this in order to divide the twins because she didn't want to left out. Very odd dynamic. Remarkably Lacey seems OK so far. Her sister though seems to be sedated.

Tbf it's probably been quite hard to manage with such limited reasoning skills and diplomacy. Paige was the classically prettier child (from photos), and the mother probably did have to field tactless comments from other people or bullies. But it's not the case now that Lacey is the plain one or that looks should be as important to adults as teenagers. she's blindly gone into defensive and dramatic mode without considering that Lacey isn't a child and may not want to be compared or protected by her. Or even that Nathan may not have meant the worst. Hare brained, reactive woman.

Lacey is by far the most appealing of the three women in her family - the sister is vacuous and the mother so obnoxious. I wish Nathan had the wit to put them in their place. I feel like the mother is enjoying every second of being on the telly.

Exactly! She was awful to him bit then when he made a light hearted joke towards her she flipped!
