Couldn't see a thread for this new USA series of the pods.

Netflix Pace just means not posting who got together and who split before it's been shown onscreen.

Hope some of the usual posters are about and want to discuss as well as anyone new

I think garret and Taylor are so lovely. I hope they work out.

I think Hannah and Nick are right to slit up. He is too immature and she is too demanding.

I am still not convinced by Ramses and Marissa.

I really do not know what to think about Tyler and his sperm babies.

I think it's pretty clear now, there's footage of those children calling him Daddy and yet he claims they may not know what he looks like?!

Agree Hannah was so nasty to Nick, smirking at him as he fell into her trap of justifying his responsibilities etc. He should have stood up to the cow. Can't even look at the baby mama bloke, is he just using the show as a platform? How does he think this is even going to end well for him when/if she finds out???!

Just catching up now, but a few comments:

• all the way through when I saw Stephen, all I could think of was Biff from Back to the Future
• Monica was right to bin him but before that point, I hated her pulling him up for not having bought her flowers - pathetic
• love garrett and Taylor
• had high hopes for Tyler and Ashley but can’t see it now.
• Ashley’s dad was so cute - he has such a beautiful happy face
• hannah is a patronising bully. I don’t think she and Nick are compatible but I despise the way she treats him. Glad with that outcome
• alex and Tim were a bit of a yawn. She is clearly not that into him and he’s super boring so no great loss
• marissa is great and I loved Ramses for her but the sex & contraception thing is a big red flag.
• her mum is awful though and if I had been Ramses I would have told her that the prenup thing is a conversation between the two of them and none of her business. She was very rude to him throughout
• on the other hand, I totally agree with him on the military thing and think he did well to defend himself against her friends.

finally, I agree with all the comments about clips and editing. It also looked like Taylor’s mum was going to cause a problem but we haven’t seen that either.

all very odd this season.

I really struggled to remember Alex and Tim, I was thinking that 6 couples went to Mexico but could only recall 5.

Of the final 3 to the aisle I reckon all will say yes. But beyond garrett and Taylor I am not fussed either way.

That's me all caught up now. Have to say, I'm not as invested in this series as I have been the others. I've watched them in a weird order though....S6 then S1,2,3. Still to watch the others so will do that while waiting on the next instalment of S7.

Maybe I don't know much about pre-nups but am I missing something? Marissa seems to still be training to be a lawyer. So surely she's not worth mega-bucks right now? So a pre-nup wouldn't be protecting much? Or maybe I've got it all wrong? If I'm right then the mum is pretty uneducated! (Bit like me, as I don't know a lot about them 😂) Still getting massive red flags from him though, with the whole condom business.

I think Garrett and Taylor will make it and stay together, find them a bit "yawn" though.

Ashley and Tyler. I haven't looked anywhere online for the sperm babies or the mums. But if he's lying about his level of involvement then she's surely going to find out! If I were her I'd have been right on him to show me them online, their SM etc. I'm quite nosy by nature though! Ashley is absolutely gorgeous 😍

Nick and Hannah. She's a bitch to him. Yeh he hasn't got a foot up in adulthood but she's using that against him instead of being part of his transition. Surely she knew he lived in his parent's basement while in the pods?! The meet up with her friends seemed like a massive pile on and I felt a bit sorry for him. He seemed to handle himself though. Did anyone else notice during "duck-gate", the other woman was saying "don't be jealous etc". But when Hannah was retelling the story to the other female contestants she was saying "hey bitch, don't be jealous". Making it sound way worse than what it was. She's been looking for excuses to dump his ass from day one. I have a feeling Nick and Katie will get together!

Only 5 couples went to Mexico. Leo and Brittany weren't selected to go even though they were engaged. Upthread it's been mentioned that the producers probably saw something was off with them and were unlikely to make it through, so likely dumped.

Has it always only been 5 couples? I've only watched a few seasons.

I felt for Marissa, that prolonged crying being filmed was a bit humiliating for her.

It's a weaker season with only 2 couples going down the aisle.

Prediction :

The Reunion will start with Ashley and Tyler sitting on different couches, SCOWLING, that or Tyler no shows.

She has been nothing less than duped into marriage here.

My dad was asking if its a PODcast (he is a funny one!)

And maybe that would be good - we get to listen to the dating in the pods and it only goes to tv when they say yes and meet.

Obviously thats not Netflix's model but could be interesting,

My mum wanted to know why a gay one would not work - thought i was being judgemental by saying won't work. But its just practicalities and the men in "one side" would probably just date the men on their side they could see. (same as happens occasionally on celebs go dating - the celebs bond)

oh yes, it works for many dating shows.

Just can't work for this one when you have to keep 2 groups apart - but the actual groups contain people you'd date anyway. So you'd surely go for the person you were "podsquad" with and could see and chat to every day!

With Hannah/Nick and Ramses/Marissa pulling out so close to the wedding it makes me wonder about previous years and why people would go all the way to the weddings if they knew they were going to say no?
I agree about Ashley and Tyler not likely to be together in the reunion if it’s true about him being involved with his children. I’m really sad for Ashley being duped like that, she seems like such a lovely person.

I think it's the consequence of the production being criticised for not safeguarding people's mental health in previous series

I think some people strategically went to the alter to gain the most screen time for their planned post show career.

And in the first series were made to under financial duress.

The last couple of seasons no one seems to give a shit.
