Every year there are couples who don't fancy each other, totally unsuited in reality but they stay in the show because they're having fun, they want to build careers as instagram influencers, go on celebs go dating or celeb big brother , they quit their jobs for the show and need to stick this out to prove that they haven't made a mistake

Plsu they get free clothes 😆

Free clothes?? I liked Richelle's outfit. Was that a bit Dark Academia style with the skirt and chain?

BIossomtoes · 03/10/2024 09:49

The clothes are free? Blimey, you’d think whoever donates them could find something a bit classier.

joolsella · 03/10/2024 09:50

They definitely wear free stuff on the show

They post links to the brands on instagram

Why else would Polly have worn that awful green thing ?

Just caught up and just want to say that Sasha reminds me so much of Caroline Ahearne, definitely has her laugh.

A brummy Caroline Aherne. I can see the resemblance too. I like her (much more than I thought I would) because she seems genuine and kind.

joolsella · 03/10/2024 09:57

Course they get sent stuff by brands who want their stuff modelled on the show

Even if they make it look shite 😂

wildlygreen · 03/10/2024 10:02

I don't understand why the expert said 'Eve you've lied on the couch' but didn't elaborate or when the other expert said 'Charlie, we know what's going on' but didn't really call Eve out for it??

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 03/10/2024 10:05

I don't think it has always the case that they got free clothes as Lara talks on her pod about the cost of having to provide a lot of outfits not knowing how long you are going to stay or where your honeymoon is.

They were sponsored by Tu clothing one year and were all wearing clothing from there. Not a great advertisement I would argue.

Makes sense now the programme is so well known they can approach brands for free items in return for posting content.

She was talking about standing outside during the interview. That bit was probably edited out. Interesting that the trailer the night before had a clip of Charlie talking about coming into her 'safe space' but not the detail.

This.

My DH is a cop and he said that the production company are just short of aiding and abetting coercive control.

This needs to be called 'Two hundred dollars a day syndrome'. It makes for piss poor telly IMHO.

Stickytoffeepudding6 · 03/10/2024 10:28

Eve got off far too lightly last night.

PaininthePreferbial · 03/10/2024 10:42

When Eve says she doesn't trust Charlie she is actually saying she herself isn't to be trusted. Her accusations are admissions. So this thing that Charlie did, supposedly, on the honeymoon was probably done by Eve. Or she will have set up Charlie to react. If anything happened at all.

Charlie was the perfect victim for Eve. I hope she's having support because this programme can't have done her any good.

Are the so called experts actually officially trained? Or did they buy their qualifications?

BustyCrustacean · 03/10/2024 10:54

browneyes77 · 03/10/2024 00:54

People sticking up for Eve saying she was the victim and Charlie was abusing her……

what!! surely they're the minority- twitter seems pretty unanimous that Eve's a nightmare

That bit was shown at the beginning of the show. It showed Charlie being interviewed and someone out of shot opening the door and Charlie seeing Eve standing behind it, having been caught by 2 of the production team with her ear to the door. I guess they didn't need go over that again (in the edited for tv version) when they were on the couch as we already knew.

murasaki · 02/10/2024 23:36

Looking back at the before and after photos of Eve, while I'm not sure Eminem was the wisest choice, she had to do something, she looked like she had a Mr Whippy stuck on a bald head.

🤣🤣💩

I dunno. She doesn't seem to be lying and twisting for shits and giggs. She appears to have slipped through whatever psychological suitability testing they do or don't do and shouldn't have been on at all. A bollocking on TV making her more of a public villain wouldn't have been ethical in my view. I think it was appropriate to vindicate Charlie re the lies and call it a day

Mel is a qualified psychotherapist, not sure about the others.

Omg just found this picture of Eve 'before' (before what I'm not sure - before she came out?) She looks so bloody different!

Note the completely different jawline now, she's on gear!!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 03/10/2024 11:44

I am absolutely sure I know Richelle from somewhere, does anyone remember where she lives?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 03/10/2024 11:48

Yes, please post on the spoiler thread what Keiran is promoting now 😊

South east London I think (I may have made that up!)

I wonder if that's one of the reasons she wanted her own flat, so she could take her roids without anyone seeing.

What's the point with Emma and Caspar

I'm reading back in the thread and am only up to where the talk turns to Eve and Charlie.

I think the point of Emma and Caspar is that he's honest about his feelings, whereas she wants the groom she was paired with to fancy her like crazy, regardless of whether or not she actually fancied and wanted him. She wants her attractiveness to be validated and thinks that one individual not rating her puts her down, not that it is what it is and we can't all fancy everyone.

I also felt sorry for Adam and think the panel have it totally wrong. He's very clearly back peddled yet tried to give Polly some grace to save face, but he keeps being pushed and pushed to let it all out, despite the fact that it's clearly going to be hurtful for her. He can't win. I know they slept together on night one, but that was a risk they both took, probably after far too little conversation and far too much to drink, so they should both have taken that for exactly what it was, it was a risk on both parts and it didn't pay off for either.

Oneandahalfonagoodday · 03/10/2024 12:23

I can't remember if this has been talked about before; has filming of the series finished by the time they start airing it on screen?

woodlandtrees · 03/10/2024 13:14

@martinisforeveryone

Good summary re Casper and Adam.
