Watched earlier on BBC 1, repeating again on BBC 3 tonight 11.30pm.

Sat through this with my flatmate, her sister and my BF. I know it's bad over there in some areas but I had no realistic idea.
FM's Sis is doing her politics degree after switching from economics and was saying there's huge debate in her lectures on how polarised, the fracturing and conspiracy theories are getting.
Boyfriend has read extensively on all history in general, all American history in particular and is well up on current events was shocked. The presenter girl tried but she was like trying to batter into a brick wall with some of the more vocal people.
Anti vaccers, border vigilantes, traditional rolls set down by scripture... 😳
It's like the it's reverting to superstitious middle ages are returning in modern form.
Fascinating and terrifying both!

I think it's a good insight into some of the things that can be so polarising in USA, and important considering what's happening elections there this year.

I felt sorry for the teenager featured. You could see her father was using her.. And yer woman who went to the migrant camps was scary.

It's all the more interesting in light of the news about American RW social media stars being funded by Russia.
