I have a memory of the original Sherwood being a good mix of crime, politics and community (and history).
Series 2 seems to have dumbed down to being yet another police drama, with cliched crime families with pantomime matriarchs.
No sense of community, and changes to life, different industries, unions, aspiratons and so on.
Would have been more interested to focus on family life in Nottingham and local politics with all the criminality in the background just making up part of the background.
Is it just me?
