They also have this programme in France, but a French version (quelle surprise!) and when we were there last week my dds were glued to it. It was particularly brilliant because we were struggling to translate and ended up guessing a lot of what was being cooked/said

DH and I absolutely love this programme! Brenda was an unbelievable bitch and that Netto guy..well what can you say about his food!!?? He was a very nice host though frying up chillies and handing out tabasco.

I love this show so much, but think it's lost something now it's been reformatted. It works much better with 5 people - so many more opportunities for power struggles and bitchery.

That banana and beige squirty cream concoction was quite something though.

Oh, Pesto, very interested to hear of a French version. Will look out for it when I'm there on my hols. Must tell DH.

I live in Blackpool ......I am sooooo tempted!!

My dd (6) is obsessed by the show - I used to have to sky+ it for her whilst she was at school She says I should go on it but that would mean tidying the house....

Add to that my cooking tends to go the way of the woman with the hot-tub ie alcohol going in the glass instead of the pan

By the way - felt sorry for her being sad about being single - thought she was a laugh until the grandfather being murdered 'joke'

Dinner party reality programme. The show heads to Coventry, where four contenders stage a dinner party to compete for a cash prize. Pub landlord James feels the heat in the kitchen as he prepares three courses under the watch of determined Marie. Scientist Vera seems to terrify rather than entertain her fellow diners. Jon looks the part in his chef's whites, but his cooking does not live up to his appearance. The hour progresses with food on the floor, stomach trouble and sleeping at the table.
