Bake off 2024 ... when will there be buns in the oven?

Any news yet on when the new series is due to start?
can we expect the same presenting/ judging line up as last year?
Do we think the Hollywood handshake will return?

I can't call it. I'll be gutted if Nelly goes.

They haven't and surely wouldn't ever decide not to eliminate, other than when a baker falls ill. They do sometimes take a very long time to decide though.
Hard to believe Dylan could go, he's generally a much better baker than Nelly. But that's the killer about Bake Off, you really are only as good as this week's bake.

I will be really sad whoever goes tonight as they've all been brilliant this series at different times

Nelly is so gracious. If it had been Dylan (despite us knowing he's fast tracked to the final) he'd be wailing and sulking in the corner.

Aw. Right call though. Good tasting cake with weak decor will always beat a pretty cake with poor texture. But so sad to see her go.

I love Nelly's philosophy that it's about teaching her children to try new things - not to win, but to enjoy. She's a legend. Can't wait for her appearance on An Extra Slice 😁

Nelly was so lovely. Noel looked genuinely upset. Dylan's showstopper was terrible when compared to the rest of them.

I don’t usually watch Extra Slice,but as along I saw Nelllie was going I set to record. I love Nellie.

Yes, I said that to Mr GetSetFake a.few weeks ago. It's the combination of being very good,very driven and very self critical but also very beautiful so they look like a kicked puppy when they are struggling. I dont think it's fake but it can be infuriating.

Having said they, I do know that frustration of having an image in your head and being unable to make it work in reality, which is what Dylan had today.

Dylan was a whiny git today. So sad Nellie has gone. What an attitude to life she has. I hope we see her back on TV soon.

I agree with all of you: very sad to see Nelly go (although I didn't really like the concept of her showstopper and can see that she was the right person to leave this week) and Dylan being whiny is very off-putting.

Nelly will be missed and I, too, will try and watch Extra Slice this week. Can anyone remind me when it's on?

So sorry Nelly left. Like how she gave her head dress to Gill though. She seems like a really nice person.

It'll be nice to see Nelly in the "what have the bakers done since filming" recap after the final.
I bet she's met up with everyone and had a lovely time all summer.
