Launch show seems to be 14 September. Did we know that already? I've only just noticed if we did!

It feels like it's happening fast! Just two weeks to go?!

Because they now do the pairings out and about some of them get seen by the general public, some of them are worked out by DS sleuths because a pro and celeb are both in, say, Nottingham on the same day, and some of them get deduced because X celeb's agent is now following Y pro on Insta.

And of course once the launch show is filmed people in the audience can give definitive spoilers.

Because Strictly is even bigger tabloid news than usual,(alas), the papers are choosing to pick up the stories and give them wider circulation than a few DS obsessives in a clearly marked SPOILER thread.

Thanks for that ERB. I'm normally a spoiler girl, particularly for the lives but I really don't want to offend those posters who feel ALL IS RUINED about getting spoiled, the thread is for all after all

The fact the got a male standby is very weird to me. Why not ask a handful of bbc female reporters.

This series feels like 2020/ 2021 all over again. The shorter series.. because I'm guessing we had 6 females then?

You could start a separate spoiler thread of you like? We did that last year and it seemed to work fine.

Yeah we had an all purpose spoiler thread didn't we? I forgot it was for the pairings as well. We could do, I was going to set it up when the show started but if you fancy doing it ahead of that @BehindTheSequinsandStilettos what do you think?

I don’t mind spoilers, but I know loads of people absolutely hate them and it can ruin that episode for them.

And I’ve decided to not stay up until silly o’clock to get the result this year, I’m just going to look on Digital Spy every Sunday morning.

Happy to have an adjacent spoiler thread - it can roll over to the first elim, I'm sure. I rarely wait these days as Sunday is a school night. I just tend to chat less on the Sunday nights. this is probably a good thing

NB don't post on the spoiler thread if you're curious about the pairings now but won't want Sunday elimination spoilers later.

If you post on it now then it'll come up on your TIO all autumn (or at least until it runs out of space) and you may accidentally see a spoiler you don't want. (At least that's how it works on the browser version YMMV if you're in the app).
