LOVE ISLAND 4: Konnor’s pits, are they even doin bits? ** NO SPOILERS PLEASE **

I couldn’t see a new thread so thought I’d make one. Yup another boring one… Anyway looks like Konnor has bagged himself a Lollipop though I’m surprised the candyman didn’t get in there first (ugh). We haven’t had half as many games, the hideaway is perma open and no one’s going in there. No real discussions or code words around how the relationships are going on the chemistry front. What’s going on?

I'm Scottish and definitely supported and was gutted for them Sunday night
I thought his reaction was in really poor taste
Nicole was def in the same camp .. looked totally disinterested

I have a horrible feeling that Mini is going to be pied and disappointed. I think it’ll be good for her in the long run because Ayo is so flaky but it’ll be very hard to watch.

I agree that there’s something off about Josh - kissing Grace was horrible in the circumstances and hardly a peck which would have been the best way out of it if he wanted to marry Mimi.

I agree Josh kissing Grace wasn’t nice. The kiss would have been ok because this is what they do in challenges etc. It’s what he said imo. Was the kiss in retaliation to Mimii flirting with Ayo? And was Mimii kissing Ayo in retaliation to Ayo kissing Grace? Idk. The former perhaps may have given Mimii the impetus or excuse to kiss Ayo. It’s all a bit of a mess and Ayo, rather than wanting to make her his no 1, is more likely to be happy to have Mimii on the back burner.

I think Mimi should have left when Ayo came back with Jessie but she seems to be one of those girls who really go after what they want in a quiet way. She did it when Uma came in and seemed to go all out to get Ayo back . Is he worth it ? No !
I also think Nicole is very pretty but would look so much better with less makeup. She has beautiful eyes. I think her and Cieran gravitate as they are Welsh but it’s a fact that if you do something nerve wracking on a first date like a rollercoaster you are likely to fall in love . What could be more nerve wracking than being on love island ?
I have a lot of admiration for Grace another one who looks stunning without makeup. She has a quiet confidence and an inner steel. I think she is a good role model actually. Doesn’t take any crap.

I started supporting England in my late 20s but I definitely didn’t grow up supporting them and none of my Scottish friends do - they ask me why I support England despite the fact I’ve lived here since 19 but some of them even live down south too!

So yeah while it’s definitely not unusual for a Welsh person not to support England he could’ve played it a bit more like Nicole and tried to look neutral.

Cheering when the opponents scored wasn’t that sensitive to his islander friends and wasn’t the best look. It will lose him a few votes (not mine) but overall I still think he will win.

The Welsh contingent were allowed to support Spain if they want. Why not? it doesn't actually affect anyone. The whole idea of football is that it's a 'game of two halves'

At this point, if josh wants to make a play for grace too he should just do it rather than continuing to be antsy. He's a grown man and can tell Mimii isn't being open regardless of when Ayo does. It's as though he's found himself stuck extremely early in this weird, inappropriately early exclusive state as a bit of a battle of wills. It's just going over the same ground

It's funny. Some years they seem to hold 'snog' in higher esteem, and some years 'marry'. This was a 'snog' year. Probably because things are so up in the air that a misplaced kiss can cause havoc. Josh went the other way but it isn't really used as a serious explanation of why you fancy two people.

The one Mimii is really being mean to is Jess with this terrace performance. She doesn't deserve this. I wouldn't be overly surprised if Ayo knocks her back with his eye on the winnings but if not I hope they don't sneak around as Jess has looked so uncomfortable.

Joey was an idiot for kissing Nicole. There was no need to either pick her or make it a proper snog. There's something lacking with his comprehension

WTAF is Mimi doing? Jess has appeared to be considerate of Mimi since she returned with Ayo. I'm really not liking what Mimi is doing now. Even if the producers are encouraging her, I would have thought she'd be the kind of girl to say she was leaving, rather than do this sneaky stuff.

Glad Joey got covered in pie. He deserved everyone of them. Why did he kiss Nicole? So fucking ridiculous. I presume that the producers told him to.

Josh kissing Grace was embarrassing. It definitely wasn't going to please Mimi. Seemed antagonistic.

Loved that all the girls wanted to marry Konnor. I know he is a safe bet and unlikely to rile any of their partners, but it still made me smile.

Not getting any kind of read on Lollipop but I guess she and Konnor may get the heave-ho tonight anyway.

Nicole and Cairan getting annoyed with Lolly for pulling Cairan for a date and Joey for kissing Nicole is ridiculous. They are on Love Island, what do they think will happen. They seem to think they are the holy grail of couples and no one can touch them but it is coming across as desperation to win to me!

Wonder if Ciaran pied Lolly as everyone bad to have a go, doubt they were seriously bothered. He was very polite to her on the 'date'.

I must admit, this is the worst series of Love Island ever - for me. It's just sooooooo boring, and there's not a single person on there that I like, nor a single couple!

I couldn't bear Jess (OG Jess) and was pleased when she left, and I loathe Mimii as she permanently has a face like a slapped arse. Some people have a smile that doesn't reach their eyes, but she doesn't even smile - EVER. Does she even know how to? She looks so miserable and bored all the time! So sick of her face now!

Rivalry is a huge part of football... I'm a massive England fan and Ciaran's reaction didn't annoy me in the slightest. It's just banter.

Josh was in the wrong kissing Grace, but aside from that I'm getting really controlling vibes from him. He's already mentioned being a "territorial" person and every time any man, not just Ayo, goes near Mimii, he looks really pissed off as though he's being massively disrespected.

Joey is so nasty. His comments to Grace after he didn't pie her were far worse than an actual pie... which he knew full well. He's a total bully. I wish Jessy would fuck him off.

Didn't think I could dislike Sean any more... then he turns into Joey's lapdog 🙄

Really hope "man" tells Mimii to do one. Well he obviously won't do that as he seems to fart around the houses about everything but hopefully he manages to draw a faint line at least.

Joey also seems intent on doing things people least expect. So kissing Nicole, not pieing Grace, staying faithful in Casa. The whole thing really is just a game to him, he's after the shock factor and doesn't give a crap who he upsets in the process

I actually think that Ayo does like Mimi, just not that much. I think they may kiss but ultimately he’ll knock her back. If they were older and not LI, I think they would probably work. I agree with a pp about mimi going for what she wants. Ayo would have coupled up with Uma from the start if Mimi didn’t pick him. She’s clearly not reading the signals if he’s just not that into you.

I like Grace overall, she has her moments but I like her.

I'm not sure Mimii is necessarily reading the signals wrong, as I've noticed Ayo watching her around the villa and he's quite flirty when they chat, so I think it's more than Mimii seeing what she wants to see. However, I suspect Mimii has become more attractive to Ayo since she's been more unobtainable and Jess might be bordering on needy now, perhaps not her normal behaviour but a direct reaction to the feelings she can sense between ayo and Mimii.

I think the issue with Josh is that he's being lied to outright. He knows his time is being wasted but is a bit hamstrung.

He's said 'can you let me know if you're still interested in Ayo in a meaningful way and I will move on accordingly. Otherwise, shall I assume you'd like me to concentrate fully on you?' and been told 'no, I am no longer interested in Ayo in a meaningful way and yes I would like you to concentrate on things with me'.

He knows it's not true as has become clearer, the whole villa and public know it's not true except josh and Jess.

Josh hasn't been able to prove Mimii is interested in Ayo outwith the fluffy bollocks she's admitting to, and he can't back out of concentrating fully on Mimii and get to know Grace without looking like a hypocrite/the bad guy which I don't think he is. The Grace kiss was a small example of this. If he had just said 'look, I wish you well but don't believe you truly want to be doing this with me so I'm going to try elsewhere ', the sadface, poor Mimii levels would be through the roof.

@Catlord completely agree regarding Josh, he’s put himself between a rock & a hard place. Although I do think Grace prefers him to Reuben.

I do feel sorry for Mimi, Ayo does like her, but I don’t think he’ll go back there, she really likes him though. I think he needs to be straight with her for her own sake. That said I think new Jess is putting him off too - in Casa she seemed so laid back, she is coming across as quite needy now & it does seem a bit off putting for him.

I think Josh is acting the way he is because he’s getting told one thing by Mimi and Ayo and then their actions are saying the complete opposite and around and around.

Mimis quiet but determined persistence with Ayo needs to stop, she’s embarassing herself, and being snakey. No doubt he’ll speak in riddles again so she’ll be no clearer and still be on the beg next week.

Yeah I agree. In some ways sneaky Sean - as annoying as he is - is doing Josh a favour by voicing his thoughts about this situation. Now that it’s been discussed in the villa more I feel Josh knows it’s not just in his head.
