He must understand at Wimbledon, the Brits will cheer on the Brits and the underdogs. It's what we do. I don't agree with the booing (the crowd did it at the French Open).

As I've said previously he's a bloody good player, there's no one quite like him. He is one of the GOAT'S. He just doesn't have the on court likeability of Roger and Rafa. But we obviously don't see what other players see, he turned up for Andy's farewell, apparently they're also good friends and went to the same training school so will have grown up together on the tennis circuit.

There was also the video of him helping the ball boys and girls roll up the covers the other day. It probably made their day.

I do wonder whether it's because he's so good that he gets treated the way he does from the crowd and he probably doesn't understand why he isn't liked as much as some of the others.

Jelena looked less than impressed also. I suspect she may spend a lot of her life Gritting Her Teeth.
Sometimes she looks positively frightened as does Stefan. I think Tara takes no notice of him.

I've switched to Daniil and Jannik, because I will have to go out in an hour and will probably miss the end.

I've noticed that Jannik has really grubby socks. Either that or it's ankle supports - either way, it's only 2 games in, and he looks like he's 2 sets in on clay already.

Why are they showing the women’s match on both BBC1 and 2?!

Apparently attendance is down this year. The organisers are blaming rain.

Not surprising really, would you really want a grounds pass on a day like today?!

I'm sure there are plenty of jokes about the only Sun being Lulu Sun but am pretty impressed with her tennis so far.

I went off for a while and the men were on when I came back.

You know I had an idea for what they could do. If this weather continues and they refuse to move matches to centre and number 1 court (for some reason this isn't an option) they could carry some of the doubles etc over to next week, make it first come first served. No celebs, no corporate hospitality, just genuine tennis fans.

The problem with that is that there will be other tournaments/events already scheduled for next week so the players won’t necessarily be available. Plus there’s all the staffing they would need - I assume most people working there would only have been hired for these two weeks so they might have other jobs lined up next week. It’s a lovely idea but I think there’s too many practicalities that would mean it’s not feasible.
