I feel sorry for Djok. He’s grown on me. He’s so great at his craft but so socially inept and so sensitive. Kind of reminds me of my autistic daughter.

I think it upsets him when the crowd aren't behind him. He's a bloody good player and all the other players have nothing but respect and good words for him. He also does a lot for charity. It's his on court persona that's the issue.

Morning - torrential rain here and the dog is unimpressed.

I did not stick around for Beelzebub's speech. I've seen enough about it now.. I learnt a long time ago not to fall for his schtick, and feel sorry for him. . As for the booing- he knew what they were doing, it's hardly the first time he's played Holger, or Casper for that matter- it's how they chant the surnames. He just likes to moan.

The violin thing is cringy- but a clever move by his PR team- can't criticise him if he's doing it for his daughter, right?How sweet! well, no. Still looks stupid. And almost mocking- tiny violin to his opponent?- could have a double meaning- and he's the the one talking about disrespect? .

Anyway, enough about that - looking forward to today- repeat of the Aussie open final for Dannil and Jannik, fingers crossed Carlos is fully fit and sees off TP. I really would like Jasmine to win, but Emma Navarro is on a winning streak too at the moment. Hard to call the Sun/Vekic match really, that could be closer.

Wheelchair singles start today, but I suppose that depends on the weather.

I am very heartened to read a lot of positive things about Holger today on SM.- That his reaction to Djok complaining about the so-called 'booing', in his press conference, was very mature and made him look the better person. (He said something about maybe Djok playing a lot of matches since they played last, and had forgotten the crowd do that). Which is diplomatic of him- but rubbish Djok knows they do it.
