Was score watching Mallorca and then watched the tiebreak. Fantastic result for Paul, well done! He's 289 in the world but is having an amazing tournament.

Don't go soft on the butterfly fancier Raahh. You* *know that way disaster lies!! And, as you say, look how it turned out when you felt sorry for Djok!

I'm sure Paul is from Hull- but has gone through the US College system ,or at least has played a lot over there.

And didn't he play a tight 5 set match against Dick at Wimbledon a couple of years back? (Sadly , he didn't win) .

I’m certain Djok is going to play Wimbledon, he practiced with Jannik today.

If Jannik comes down with any kind of bug before Monday, we'll know here it came from.

Must be odd, practicing with a rival supposedly 'recovering ' from surgery/ injury. The temptation to make them run a lot/fall over/ whack the ball at their knee must be huge

Yes I am Fizzy - very excited! Unfortunately looks like it might rain a bit on Monday afternoon - not really a problem as we’ve got No 1 court tickets but it’s nice to be able to go and watch some of the other matches where you’re closer to the action (our tickets are way up at the top!). And especially if Djok is playing so I don’t have to sit through that.

Fingers crossed for good weather Chessie and also for Djok withdrawing - have a (extortionately priced) Pimms for me!

I started watching the Wimbledon draw but it was just a woman mispronouncing players names and then getting confused about which line they went on - I thought it would be more exciting than that!

Unfortunately, I can't see Djok withdrawing, certainly not now the draw has been made, which would really screw things up. If he gets that far, he has Zverev in the semis, meaning Jannik vs Carlos in the other.
Andy, if he plays, has Machac.
Dan has Tabilo.
I think Draper vs Norrie in the 2nd round, if they both get through.
Dart vs Boulter in 2nd round (they seem to play each other a lot and it's always tetchy!) but Katie has to beat Tatjana Maria first, which might not be easy.
I think Jannik might play Matteo in the second round.

Enjoy Monday Chessie. You* *should be safe. Djok is in the bottom half of the draw, so should play on Tuesday. Unless you fancy wandering down to Aorangi Park to watch him practice

Looking good for us not getting Djok. Looks like Matteo and Emma will both be playing on Monday and would be delighted to get either of them on No 1 court, especially as they’re favourites of DD as well.

That's good, Chessie. Fingers crossed for Matteo - though Marton is a good player (not so sure about his grass pedigree).

He needs to be careful, Djok. That grass can be very slippy on the first week. Never know what might happen. Would be a terrible shame if he fell.
