WHY did Patty try to get Ellen killed?

I don't get it!

because she said she regretted what happened with ray fisk so patty knew she might blab at some point.

I gave up at episode 6 when I realised we were no further on than episode 1, so I can't help you. I'm guessing it might have been the right decision if you got to the end and still didn't know what was going on

Patty tried to get Ellen killed because she is a psycho bunny boiler a la Fatal Attraction. Does she need any other reason?

It was awesome wasn't it ! It was the scene when Patty said to Ellen "do you regret what we did?" And Ellen said "yes" which made Patty think she can't trust her not to blab!

What was the whole thing re the dead baby and "Julia"? Was it something to do with Frobisher?

I only started watching halfway through so was a little (?!) confused ....

i don't think so... they had flashbacks to 'patricia' being told that her daughter (who would have been Ellen's age) had been stillborn so i'd assumed that she'd gone to the grave consumed with guilt at the death of another girl child, iyswim? although ellen being handy with a kitchen knife rather spoiled that for her.

Dh and I kicked ourselves when it was revealed that Patti had been the one to have Ellen bumped off - who else would have been able to cover up the attack in Patti's flat and not leave any evidence ('part from the speck on the shell?!) Rather impressed that this rather obvious fact did not occur to us what with all the other shennanigans.

what if... patti was involved in the Frobisher car accident? was that in '72?

I really do think that there must be a link between the baby and why Patti hates Frobisher so much. Is there nothing in the Julia name? I thought that the way it was revealed must mean something ....
