And before we start, I really don't get why there's sometimes a really big deal made about not being chaperoned (e.g. when looking at books in a library at a ball) and at other times, none at all (walking in the garden late at night).

Have watched it now. Really enjoyed it. I was so glad to see Pen enjoying some good fortune.

I'm not interested in the storyline with the ex-boxer's family, and I'm surprised that Benedict's mistress would be accepted in polite society. Would he really take her to a family ball?

Also, I'm wondering how Lady Whistledown will continue with her acerbic wit given the author's real life joy. It's a bit like Charlie Brooker marrying Konnie Huq.
