Coronation street - I think Joel has something to do with Lauren’s disappearance

It just came to me now whilst watching last nights episode.

Lauren got a piece of jewellery - Joel had a receipt for an expensive piece of jewellery he claimed was for cuff links and then he said it was actually for his daughter.

The linguistics expert that analysed Roy’s text messages said the text messages were grammatically well written so couldn’t be discounted as sent from Roy - Joel is a solicitor so I’m assuming he is writes well.

Also what is the point of him suddenly appearing in Corrie and being seen regularly unless he has an important storyline?

This is all I have so far, what does everyone else think?

I am pathetically proud to say that I called this two weeks ago. 😂
My useless skill is identifying 'shocker' murderers in soaps. I won £50 quid off the back of Bobby Beale back in the day.
I basically said exactly the same as you to my partner at the time - he's cropped up out of nowhere and has no real purpose, no specific storyline attached to him. Gobby Hope will undoubtedly reveal that she found the necklace. It might take a while though, as he's obviously got Bethany in the frame now. Wonder if they're going down the Pat Phelan route again.

I am also pathetically proud to say that I called it months ago, at the time when deedee found the receipt. I figured he had another woman on the go, then twigged it was Lauren when I realised he was her solicitor. I know it's almost impossible but I am still hoping that she is clinging to life somehow.
