Do you watch Disney+?

We've just got Disney and wondered if the wonderful MNetters had any good recommendations?

I rediscovered the War of the Worlds series and we are currently watching that. I saw the first series when it came out and thought they had left the story there - didn't realise Disney had picked it up.

OMITB is good fun.
But overall I'm not that taken with the platform. Releases are not frequent enough.

The Bear is just staggeringly good.

Last year when I was ill I finally watched all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films more or less in their correct order. I’d sat through several in cinemas with a child over the previous decade and a half or so - without ever feeling much interest. Now I finally get it …

And love the fact that Karen Gillan, my favourite - with Rory - Doctor Who companion, has become my favourite MCU character, though I don’t think I recognised her for the first two films she was in.

Definitely watching this one

Tiny Beautiful Things- Kathryn Hahn gives an amazing performance in a beautiful story. It’s based on a book by Cheryl Strayed who wrote the book Wild that the Reese Witherspoon film was based on. In it she is an agony aunt in a small newspaper and replies to people’s problems drawing on her own life experience. It’s a great format.

We loved first series of Only Murders but couldn’t finish the most recent one - it has disappeared up its own arse in a cloud of smugness, which is a great shame!

Lots of good shows already mentioned. Do they still have Pistol? Loved that. I also enjoy Welcome to Wrexham

One of my fave ever series is Better Things. I think I watched it on IPlayer, it is now on Disney+.

Mr Inbetween - little known but fantastic

The Patient is excellent. Another vote for Extraordinary, I loved it.

The Bear is amazing, can’t wait for the next series. Other than that it’s the kids that use it. There’s nothing else on there I’d watch.
