Contestants were announced today for the new series starting on Monday 3rd.

I don't know if I can do it this year folks.

I thought that the botoxed, lip filled , tragic extensions look was supposed to be going out of fashion

I've just watched the first episode but that's as far as I'm going. The teeth...OH MY GOD THE TEEEEETH! I just can't. And the tweakments that really do make the girls all look older, just stop it! Enjoy you lot!

Nicole's red dress though! She looked uncomfortable and rightly so it was leaving nothing to the imagination. Can't blame the girl though if it's all pre-loved garments

Joey Essex adds nothing. I don't know much about him but he couldn't indicate 'going through the motions, here for the cash' more clearly if he had spelled it out in semaphore during the walk in. Whether it's about love or fame, at least the new faces actually want to be there.

I would have preferred to see the young lad from chesterfield stay on.

I read that he is being paid the same as everyone else, £375 a week. But that was the Daily Fail, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt. OK Magazine say he's not being paid and it's about the exposure.

Time will tell, but I think bare minimum he'll enjoy a couple of weeks in Majorca while snogging some women. I just hope it's not just the Joey show, and that Islanders won't fawn all over him (ie avoiding dumping him etc)

It wasn't. It was about being 'girl/boyfriend material'. They seemed to stick with that brief, looking at time single, candour answering questions etc.

I don't know how the pay works but I assumed as a reality star it's about keeping your profile up and unless he really does something awful this will be big exposure, better than scrabbling around on ex on the beach or whatever else there is. Last chance saloon at 33 I'd have said too.

The age thing interests me. I think a 30s version would be cracking but older ones on mainstream LI generally look a bit lost and awkward unless already famous. The women especially. Too much happens in your 20s to have 19 and 33 year olds thrown in together. Obv all adults but I think it dilutes chances of actual connections forming. 20-29 would be better
