Contestants were announced today for the new series starting on Monday 3rd.

Just watched last night's episode. DH forced me to. 😆

Is it just me or do half the girls look EXACTLY the same?! They look like Olivia Attwood. The kind of look with big fake lips, bright white fake teeth, too much make up, botox, fillers, stupid high heels, tiny little outfits that show off 70% of their boobs! (And 90% of their arse!) 😬

They all look older than their age too. Patsy is 25 and looks 40 to me. (Patsy is pic 4 with the dark brown hair, and the gold rings on the straps of her cossie.) As for the boys, Ayo yo is cute, and the cutest girl IMO is Mimii.

I find Harriett annoying. That fake posh accent kills me. And I know a few posh/upper class people even though I am working class myself, and they DON'T sound like Harriett. (She is the first one pictured here.) She sounds like Georgia Toffolo. Nice girl (Georgia,) but the posh accent is laughably fake.

And Joey Essex is the bombshell. Kill me now!

First look I feel a bit sorry for the scouse girl, it would feel like a slap if you felt you’d put yourself out there, whereas I imagine he’s just trying to kiss as many people as possible. Joey Essex for me is boak 😬

RL intervened last night, so catching up now.

I wonder what would happen if I, middle-aged woman with my menopausal body, went on the show but just acted like these young women and never once alluded to fact that I'm twice their age. I wonder if any of them would dare ask me what was going on?

I'm intrigued by Patsy and Mimi, they seem different from the usual personalities that go on.

I feel like Patsy and Munveer are too old though and the age range is too wide. Maybe better to commit to a narrower range rather than throw, what, 19 year olds in with 30 somethings?

Ronnie reminds me of Toby. Bit vacant but the girls will fall over him. Perhaps the camera doesn't do them justice?

I think Munveer has the most beautiful face 😍

And Maya Jama - she's mind-blowing. How Stormzy ever allegedly cheated on her, I'll never know. Hopefully he treats her better this time.

Have to agree. I found it hard to stay with it tonight. Just a bunch of vacuous, filler and botox-filled bores chatting shit, twisting their hair around their fingers, giggling, smooching, and kissing. (OR staring into mid air saying naff-all.) I was bored. DH was too, and he is usually a pretty big fan of Love Island.

We started chatting about how cold it was tonight, (for June.. 7 degrees C!) and an event we are going to tomorrow, and nosing at the neighbour who we could hear revving up his motorbike. We started looking out of the window as we could hear a helicopter. Got bored with it tonight. It was easy to drift away from it. Hopefully it improves in the next few days ... If not I will be bailing on it.

Yep I don't like her at all. And I can't explain why.

Placemarking. Totally forgot that it started last night so just watched first episode tonight. Agree with all the comments about the girls all looking much older then their years and identikit versions of each other.

Mimi and Ayo seem like they have genuine chemistry.

I can’t imagine that Joey will stay for the duration. Think it’s just a gimmick. I actually thought he looked ill when he made his appearance. Quite gaunt and dark circles under his eyes.
