He was getting physio on his knee when I tuned in but that was probably related to the bottle incident too

Just got in, very pleased for Tomas. A win is a win, whatever excuses the Djok camp conjure up. His plan to gain a tournament before RG has failed.

Looking forward to PHH playing his best singles match ever at RG and makong everyone happy.

The bottle incident will get blamed every time now. Even though his team announced that they found no injuries when he had the scan last week.

He will turn up at RG wearing a massive tubi-grip, somewhere.

Is anyone fooled by him anymore?

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard is a bit of a mouthful! He's beaten Bublik who was in one of his whimsical moods today. They interviewed him in English for no apparent reason. He seems very nice.

He did seem nice- very tall.

I can't keep up with the Sky coverage. In the space of 5 minutes they have jumped from one match to another about 3 times.

They are ridiculous with their hopping around

How come Casper’s match still hasn’t been played, is there bad weather in Geneva?

I’m glad Djok lost, but that’s a weird scoreline and I can’t help wondering if he tanked that match. Feels like he wanted to prove a point with the second set bagel but then made a strategic exit so he won’t be too tired for RG. Hopefully I’m wrong and he is just in rubbish form and unable to win anything.

Casper's match is suspended due to rain, still. Ice.

I know what you mean about Djok. I never trust him ,and the score line was really odd, and like he cut his losses. He claimed afterwards he felt ill last night. I don't know- there's always something^ with him.

Of course, it probably means Casper playing 2 matches tomorrow. It can't really go over to Sunday, as RG starts then (although Casper is unlikely to be playing the first day. ).

I just read that Rafa's 1st round match is against Zverev?? What are they trying to do???????

Silly me, I was slow with the news...

At least it shows that the draw isn’t fixed (which I have sometimes wondered with some of Djok’s draws) - I’m sure that RG would have wanted Rafa to have an easier first round

I’m still not sure when the match will be on - the RG website is saying that all matches start at 11am on Sunday but I’m assuming that will change

I’ve been listening to a Tennis Podcast about when Tim Henman got to the French open semis in 2004 - i think that one passed me by - I can’t remember him doing so well on clay!

Wimbledon set a precedent by seeding Serena in 2018 and if RG had wanted to - they could have seeded a 14 time champion. For 19 years he never dropped out of the top 10,(regardless of homw many injries he sustained) so his ranking was hgh until less than 18 months ago. I know Rafa didn't want special treatment anyway- but as a gesture, it would have been a reasonable one.

RG don't seem to go a bundle on decent gestures (like ignoring Domi Thiem for a wc) so I'm not surprised. Even though he is likely to win, it's not going to be the easiest of matches for Sascha either.

Casper's match has started very early .But not very well. He's already a break down to Cobolli.

The scoreline in this match is as up and down as the Djok one. I'm totally baffled.

Well, he's clawed this 3rd set back from 1-4 down, but I'm still not convinced.
Cobolli is not going away.
