I took the opportunity to go out and buy petrol (I've been putting it off all week).

The crowds in Paris have always been partisan, but do seem to have got worse. Not quite in the 'eating a 3 course meal, with booze, whilst wandering around chatting' that AO and the US Open seem to have become - whilst ignoring the tennis. But it is noisy when home players are on court.

Also, far worse with the roof- the noise is amplified.

I'm convinced the reason they didn't put the beep machine on the nets is because they aren't hung properly!

Madison Keys has just won her first set 6-0 in 19 minutes! If she keeps that up they might be able to squeeze another match in!

That was quick! I saw her walking out and went off to do stuff. If I had Madison here she could get everything done in double quick time

I've always loved tennis since the days of Chris and Martina & co but I've finally had it. The reason? The bloody noises that players make nowadays. This afternoon I have had to turn off some Egyptian woman shouting something sounding like "Woop-a" every single time she hits a ball. Absolutely ridiculous. Some many of them do it now and there's no need for it.

The outside courts all have play now, but I am not that confident in the weather.

Matches are starting at 9am tomorrow.

(Good thing that Benoit isn't around, I don't think he would manage a 9am start ).

I suppose it's a step in the right direction-but won't make much difference later, with the ones who have a bottle or two if wine with dinner.
