Why does Disney stop shows half way?! NCIS, Greys etc

Argh, it's so annoying. Happily watching NCIS, Greys, Station 19 etc.... and now it's been off air for 2 weeks with no info on when it's coming back. Drives me CRAZY.

I’m with you on this, why no new NCIS? The next episodes exist, they’ve already been shown in the US!

Mid season breaks are very common in the US. Seasons have more episodes (UK shows are often 6 or 8 episodes, US ones can be 20) so they often only film the first half, see how the things are doing, then reevaluate and tweak for the rest of the season.

They follow the US releases, & they have frequent breaks in their schedules over there, which we are not used to.

I'd actually prefer to watch a series a few months after they first come out in the US so I can watch it every week, rather than at the same time as the US audiences but with their really annoying mid season breaks.

I'm going through a surgical menopause....I can barely remember the names of my children never mind all the plot lines in a multi-character, multi-story drama after it's been off air for weeks. FFS 😠🥵

Yes where is the rest of it. It goes upto episode 5 and that's it.
