Was it just me that got annoyed with channel 4 managing to get the trans message in quite so much? I felt that Jax was focused on much more than sister Nicola. It as like she was just the supporting act. Plus the threat of suicide as a message to parents to make them support their child “transitioning” was shown too. Whilst this is Jax’s view I think it is irresponsible to include this in a show where no balance is given.
I did think Jax seemed a nice person so not a personal dig at all but certainly a dig at channel 4.

I agree @Blackcats7. I liked Jax and he is indistinguishable as a trans man I thought, completely convincing, but I wasn't comfortable with the pushing of ideology, the emotional blackmail of suicide hints, and the suggestion that Jax could not be happy without disfiguring cosmetic surgery.

I didn’t feel that way.
I was rooting for them. It’s a shame it becomes about trans issues. This happened on the pottery show thread

I was wondering how they split the money?

I assumed 3 ways. But you have made me wonder if it would be split between the 2 teams

Oh I used to love Hunted, @NCTDN - did feel that this series had jumped the shark a bit though, so am not surprised this is the last one!

I agree about Jax @Blackcats7 , why focus so much on that? Surely the point was that he just wanted to live his life as a man now, with everyone treating him as such... why not leave it as that and move on?! Other contestants had equally valid aspects which could have been focused on - Alex had lost his mum young, Sade can't always have had it easy as a single mum, Nicola's job as a prison officer must be demanding - but none of those got much of a look in.

Interesting info thank you @BishyBarnyBee ! I wondered that about the train hunter too, surely she could have caught both of them? I seem to remember in a previous series that they caught two urban explorer contestants by sending plain clothes hunters into a location they were visiting, not sure why that was valid if the train capture wouldn't be!

I loved the early series of Hunted, but I do recall one fugitive basically camped in the wild for three weeks and only popped out for extraction. That's when they started putting in hurdles such as must get cash out, must visit family member, must arrange to pick up rucksack from somewhere rather than setting off with all the equipment already. I reckon must use public transport has been added to that list. As well as must post something on social media.

There was one series where all the fugitives were caught and there was a bit of an outcry that it had swung too far to the hunters favour. Rewards for members of the public phoning in sightings etc.

I do like it but the longer it's gone on, the more ridiculous it's got.

I was pleased Sade made it to the helicopter, and to see Jax and Nicola cheering her on was lovely.

Did anyone spot one of the blonde ladies (the ones who were best mates and had a right laugh) popping up on the last Saturday night takeaway on the singalong live section?

Oh yes @WhatsitWiggle , I think contestants twigged that the best way of not getting caught was just to stay off grid, and therefore the series had to force them out into the open somehow! This series it seemed slightly ridiculous how close they kept getting to Jax and Nicola and yet somehow they'd get away...

Did someone say that was the last series?

Finally caught up on the last episode. How lovely was Cameron when he got split up from his mum? And I’m so glad Sade made it. Faked or not she climbed up the mountain there.
