I am annoyed at the ending! What a waste of an afternoon.

Anyone else binge this?

Hey! I binged this all yday before the first episode dropped last night haha, finished episode 6 today. From that ending, there HAS to be a season 2!

Got to be. So many unanswered questions.

Went a but like lost. I didn't enjoy that.

So what happens?

Iamacatslave · 27/03/2024 08:06

I binge watched and found the ending very disappointing!

lul1 · 27/03/2024 19:23

Watched the lot. I liked a little if the characters but it was a bit daft.

What was the game
What was in the woods
Who attacked the caravan man

There were too many things happening.

Newtonianmechanics · 27/03/2024 19:52

I am reading the other thread and the questions people are asking I am thinking well you won't get an answer to that.

It had so much potential and enjoyed it to a point but the ending was just stupid.

CrossPurposes · 27/03/2024 23:37

Bloody hell. What a waste of time that was. Mostly ridiculous. Unrealistic characters. I was quite hopeful when Ali mentioned a list of loose ends and then we given a cliffhanger...

mum2jakie · 31/03/2024 15:41

Have seen the first two episodes but don't think I'll bother with the rest, especially if there isn't a satisfactory conclusion to the series. I hate watching things without a proper ending

There is an explanation to a point but there are loads of questions unanswered.

It goes a bit like Lost.

What are the answers that you do find out? I can't really be bothered to watch it.

From what I can remember the man who went to prsion was innocent after all.

Basically hidden in the factory is a game with a creature that esaped and you have to pay to play. It just got stupid for me but I hate supernatural fantasy dramas so was never going to work.

Would have enjoyed it if was just about the true criminal and that being human. But no, it went silly.

Thank you, glad I've not bothered, sounds ridiculous!

Sounds like a load of rubbish. Not my cup of tea so I'll give it a swerve!

Mothership4two · 09/04/2024 02:52

I have only watched the first episode. I thought it had serious Roysten Vasey vibes!

Mothership4two · 11/04/2024 09:04

Well I wasn't wrong it was very like the League of Gentlemen - especially "the Beast of Royston Vasey" series. With a sprinkling of Fortitude and a dash of Dinnerladies.

The big question "what the blooming heck is going on?" doesn't get answered. I think it strayed into daft territory.

At times it was like watching a horror spoof. The look was oddly dated, but their phones were 21st century. I don't remember seeing any children other than the sister (or dogs or cats). It was like they were stuck in Purgatory or someone's nightmare.

Wouldn't recommend

MonkeyTennis34 · 13/04/2024 10:23

On episode 4 and I'm throwing in the towel!

It reminds me of another recent series set in Wales this time where it, to me, didn't ring quite true in terms of narrative. This other series was also penned by an actor Michael Sheen.

Passenger, I believe, was penned/directed by actor Andrew Buchan.

Stick to the (amazing) acting lads!

SwankyPants · 13/04/2024 10:34

I missed that he was innocent in the end. I must've glazed over.
Who was paying all that money? Or was that to play the game?

Quartz2208 · 13/04/2024 11:44

Yes if it had another couple of episodes to end it I would have enjoyed it but it just ended

Jakub because he witnessed the attack on Jim (by Tony) and he knew Eddie was innocent but didn't come forward because he was an immigrant. Jim didn't see who attacked him and Eddie was just blind drunk without any other evidence. Didn't really make much sense and where did HE get all that money? He wasn't exactly run off his feet in the garage.

Mothership4two · 13/04/2024 15:59

Pangea wanted the fracking site shut down which was the reason for the attack, so why was Jim then left alone for over 10 years?

It was all fluff and nonsense

SwankyPants · 13/04/2024 16:26

Thanks both. Doesnt add much to the actual story does it 😂
