Did anyone see the programme with Gyles Brandreth this morning?

I really enjoyed it, what a lovely man he is and such an interesting life.
And a great marriage and family.

Caught the last 20 minutes but thought it was so lovely I will watch it all on catch up.

No I am sorry I did not.

What program? I like Gyles.

Oh yes, I saw that last year, it was quite moving. His autobiography is good.

I could listen to him all day, there aren't many people that are just good at telling stories like that. It does make me laugh when he completely derails whichever panel show he is on.

Listen to Something Rhymes with Purple podcast too - he tells great anecdotes and is an inveterate name dropper. I could listen to the story about the violin a hundred times over.

I had unfairly assumed that I didn't like Gyles Brandreth (based on not much really!) until I came across Something Rhymes with Purple -but it's such a gentle and interesting podcast, and Gyles seems like a genuinely lovely person. And doesn't he have an anecdote for every occassion?!

I worked for one of his sisters, the whole family is lovely.

I listen to the podcast, and poor Susie barely gets a word in! He does tell a good story, though.

I don't think I've ever seen him on TV. I'm in Canada, so I think he only does hosting for Uk shows.
