6 part drama - on Sunday and Monday x 3w

Set in a fictional town called Chadder Vale, the six-part series explores an insular community that shares a real distrust of outsiders.

Five years before the drama begins, former Met police detective Riya Ajunwa (Wunmi Mosaku) arrives in town and has been waiting for a proper crime to investigate ever since.

Then, one night a local girl called Katie Wells (Rowan Robinson) disappears. Weird. What’s weirder is that the next day she reappears, seemingly totally fine.

The inhabitants of the town remain unbothered, but Detective Riya thinks the whole thing is a bit… odd.

From there, a “series of strange happenings and increasingly shocking crimes” begins to unfold.

The townspeople blame outside influences, such as the fracking site and its manager, Jim Bracknell (David Threlfall), but Riya is insistent that something else is going on, a view that gets a lot of the locals riled up. Sounds mysterious, right?

Leading the charge in Passenger is Wunmi Mosaku, who you may know from Loki, Damilola, Lovecraft Country, Alice Darling, and Temple. Here, she plays the lead role of Detective Riya Ajunwa.

Also in the cast are David Threlfall (Shameless, Funny Woman), Rowan Robinson (So Awkward), Jo Hartley (After Life, In My Skin), Sean Gilder (The Gold, Shameless) and Debbie Rush (Coronation Street, Brassic).

Felt a bit sorry for Jacob but not iyswim

So Eddie was innocent as I said in E 1

Derek is scared of the passenger /game and prefers to burn his bakery and maybe beast then face the beast

How does the beast make the losers turn into black stuff

Riya will save the day

Nish and Ali won't die and will battle the game /beast

All in all annoying was a cliff hanger and better be a s2

But was very enjoyable

The men in the forest captured something wriggling in a bag

Th lady who came to see Derek said he didn't dispose of remains properly but also as put mehmet on Jim's ground and didn't dispose of him

Tho not sure why he didn't go into black gunk

That was what the machine as for but the younger brother stealing bins to put the human remains in them

Or that's my take on it

I was bloody annoyed by that ending. i recently watched ‘Gray’ on NF and that had an even worse ending to a season.

I like everything tied up in a neat bow 😂

Honestly @purpleme12 - you cannot take your eyes off the screen, in case you miss something. I am terrible for multitasking when watching TV, but I had to put everything down and fully concentrate.

And even then, I missed stuff, which I discovered thanks to the recaps!

Well I missed this man in the background people mentioned

I hadn't thought that a beast turns people into black stuff

I was still under the impression that we didn't know if there was 'beast' there

Really I just had and have a lot of unanswered questions about what's going on and didn't really know what those answers were

I actually presumed that the “beast” was people’s imagination when they took the drug that led to psychosis. And it was a person they dragged back in the bag. A player of the game.

If we go with this, do we think Katie took the drug when she went into the forest? Because she wasn't a player was she?

But then what tore the hole in the cage and the floor of the bakery van? Was that a person? Or "the beast"?

And how did her cough clear up 100% so quickly?
