6 part drama - on Sunday and Monday x 3w

Set in a fictional town called Chadder Vale, the six-part series explores an insular community that shares a real distrust of outsiders.

Five years before the drama begins, former Met police detective Riya Ajunwa (Wunmi Mosaku) arrives in town and has been waiting for a proper crime to investigate ever since.

Then, one night a local girl called Katie Wells (Rowan Robinson) disappears. Weird. What’s weirder is that the next day she reappears, seemingly totally fine.

The inhabitants of the town remain unbothered, but Detective Riya thinks the whole thing is a bit… odd.

From there, a “series of strange happenings and increasingly shocking crimes” begins to unfold.

The townspeople blame outside influences, such as the fracking site and its manager, Jim Bracknell (David Threlfall), but Riya is insistent that something else is going on, a view that gets a lot of the locals riled up. Sounds mysterious, right?

Leading the charge in Passenger is Wunmi Mosaku, who you may know from Loki, Damilola, Lovecraft Country, Alice Darling, and Temple. Here, she plays the lead role of Detective Riya Ajunwa.

Also in the cast are David Threlfall (Shameless, Funny Woman), Rowan Robinson (So Awkward), Jo Hartley (After Life, In My Skin), Sean Gilder (The Gold, Shameless) and Debbie Rush (Coronation Street, Brassic).

So the baker brothers know what is in the woods and that people dissapeer via it killing /eating them

Chief linda I think knows what is going on /part of it and why she says doesn't want Riya investigating it

Tho if she did know she wouldn't went the bins discovered so maybe linda doesn't know 😂

I didn't get the impression Linda knew

This is the most random programme. Bins? Men with tool boxes? Why does the main policewoman seem like the only normal one?

The 8 men sharing one room capture the thing in a blue sack and need gas masks to do it

I have no idea where this is going!

I’m really enjoying this. The weirder it gets, the more I like it.

Hope the ending doesn’t disappoint though- I’ll be raging.

Really enjoying this, something a bit different. It’s got to all connect to the oddball bloke that appears to be hanging around the drama. Don’t think he has actually spoken yet but looks very suspicious. Looking forward to finding out what the thing in the woods is!?

Which odd ball bloke ?

The young man. On the larger side, dark skinned complexion, think he has a slight moustache from memory. He appears a bit like an Alfred Hitchcock cameo. No reason for the shot, you just see him sitting doing nothing except observing people. He was in the cafe in ep 2 I think? Never seen talking to anyone.

I've watched it all but yes the biggish lad looks early 20s we saw him sat on the steps smoking.

Not sure he has dark skin though?

I still can't get over Aiden from Revenge. I mean it's not quite like Tommy Lee Royce and Sidney Chambers both being James Norton, but visually it's a shocker.

The Passenger has got me totally perplexed. So many little allusions to things and bits of hints, but apart from Claire and her sneaky bit on the side, I don't know where to go with most of it, especially the forest stuff and the men in hazmat suits and masks.
