We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through the three series of of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are currently part way through series 8 of Spooks. Having recently witnessed the demise of Adam Carter in the last series, he has been replaced by Lucas North.

And did you do it satisfactorily?

I hope so, but it was a bit limited Grin

Ilovelblue · 01/05/2024 21:13

Tamsin Outhwaite always plays the same sort of hard faced character.

I'd be annoyed by Albert as well - some sympathy with her there.

Mickey has just answered your question.

Magi84 · 01/05/2024 21:14

Oh I can guess where the money they make will go this time.

She was in a series called Red Cap about a woman in the military police. It was quite good and ran for two series - yet another connection to Soldier, Soldier.

So she did, I'd forgotten about that.

Oh, she has a fear of enclosed spaces it seems.

Ilovelblue · 01/05/2024 21:17

I wouldn't like lifts either given her husband locked her in one.

The life trick is SO cruel.
Even if she did murder a dog.

Ilovelblue · 01/05/2024 21:19

Micky has a very soothing voice to calm her down. Very clever of him.

Wouldn't she be just a little bit suspicious of being trapped in a lift with someone so skilled at dealing with panic - most people would be joining her in the panic stakes.

Rhubarb01 · 01/05/2024 21:22

Blimey, I have seen this conservatory place used so many times in different dramas.

eejittwo · 01/05/2024 21:25

There are so many corny chat-up techniques in this episode. Or am I showing my age and cynicism?

I agree, some of it's really cringey, especially Danny.

Rhubarb01 · 01/05/2024 21:29

Well, that deflated Danny's ego a bit, didn't it.

Magi84 · 01/05/2024 21:29

Think Danny has been conned ...

eejittwo · 01/05/2024 21:30

But he’s got useful intel on the ex-husband?

Rhubarb01 · 01/05/2024 21:36

The farmer made me laugh there.

eejittwo · 01/05/2024 21:38

I have this leaden weight, aka the cat, sprawled across my thighs, pressing me into the floor. How come she is so heavy?

I don't think my cats must like Hustle because they've not sat with me at all through the viewings. I think they must have preferred Spooks.

One of my old cats used to start out as a neat, small little ball on my lap, but end up several hours later, totally sprawled over me and stretched out like a leaden weight, with me totally pinned to the seat, so I know how you feel. I reckon it's all about weight distribution.

I knew there would be a reasonable story about the dog because no vet with any conscience would put a healthy animal to sleep.

Rhubarb01 · 01/05/2024 21:44

So, is she playing Mickey do we think?

AI’ve been told by vets that some people have asked, on divorce. Maybe some do it for the money.
