Spoiler alert, this is for people at episode 6 season 4.

The duke leaving and apparently not returning for season 5! After 4 seasons of will they won't they im a bit disappointed with just getting the very pg kiss. But then I am a bit of a romantic and I know it's more about her and her journey, but she loves him so im just a bit gutted she can't have it all.

I do have a bit of a soft spot for Patrick Nash though.. 👀

I agree. The duke is gooorgeous! The thing is she’s such a risk taker never settle down. Imagine being pregnant and putting herself in harms way all the time. I think it would be good if she and William ran an agency together.

Whaaaaat? I haven’t watched the latest series yet but loved the previous ones.

Someone has messed up on contracts here, if they knew the actor who played the Duke was leaving they should have wrapped up the whole thing ending with them getting together.

No one really watches this show as a detective procedural, they watch it as a ‘will they won’t they’ romance. How disappointing.

Im glad I'm not the only one! I think it's because he's been in rebel moon he's leaving to further his career. My hope is that they continue to communicate through letters in season 5 and then it finishes with him deciding to stay in new York and her going out there to join him and set up an agency 🤞🏻 I bet the Americans would have been a bit more open to a female entrepreneur than what she's experiencing in England. And hopefully we see him for at least that last one with a reunion at the new York port!

@WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout I did think there was a bit of an increase in the lingering looks.. I don't hate him and can see it working, but I'll feel very much like they palmed us off with him as we all really just want the duke 😭😂

I, too, was very annoyed, especially as a statement by Stuart Martin was shown on FB before the episode was aired! 🤬

I was so annoyed when he said he couldn't be with her and work at Scotland Yard with her being a private detective. I know that attitude was of the times, but Eliza is such a groundbreaker, why not be different?

They should've ended the series at the end if this series with them together romantically and running an agency together.

The whole Nash thing was just a side story in the end.

This will be the last season inevitably as everyone was watching it due to their chemistry, without him it’s somewhat lacking and a bit beige.

There's a confirmed season 5 I think which I reckon will flop, especially if they try and push the Eliza/Nash relationship. My only hope is that it ends in her sailing off to new York to be with the duke but it will be a measley ending compared to what we all wanted.

Still waiting for Scarlett & the Duke on Freeview. Loved the 1st and 2nd series.

Have watched the first episode, it’s now called Miss Scarlett. Nice new inspector so I’m guessing a new love interest, but then Nash is still in it so not sure!
