Yes it's the detective story set in New Zealand with a Mãori detective and an Irish detective as the 2 leads.
Season 1 ended with the Irish journalist (the ex of the Irish detective) entering a cabin in the wilderness, obviously in imminent danger.......

I've had a think and yes I remember. It ended on a cliffhanger which annoyed us all. The scene with the vigil was very well done if you can think back to that. Very emotional. I might need to read some reviews though as a recall it being quite complicated with back stories and relationships.

It was on BBC4.

That's something I never got into

I tried watching from beginning as dh liked it but ......

I took ages to get round to watching Shetland, because having read the books I was really cross that they'd cast Dougie Whatsisname as Jimmy Perez. Red head, pale skinned guy is NOT how Jimmy was described!

But then I got over myself and thoroughly enjoyed watching them. I'll look forward to this next series.

I think it misses Jimmy, but still well worth watching.

I don't think I've ever watched Shetland.
