I also think Collins is neurodiverse and shouldn’t have been chosen - it wasn’t fair on him OR Natalie. Credit to her for cutting and running at this stage - having the honesty to say it was a car crash and not put everyone through weeks of ‘working at it’ commitment ceremonies. But she must have been so miserable.

The producer interview with Collins at the end is the most unvarnished footage I feel I’ve ever seen on MAFS. I am really liking the increased presence of the production voice in this series. Hearing both sides of the exchange makes the interviews seem a bit more authentic and they are capturing rawer moments.

The ballsy women on MAFSA are what Laura in the UK was trying to be, but was just annoying instead.

I am not sure if Collins is neuro diverse or leaning difficulties or closeted gay or what. But I do think he is incredibly childish.

I felt so angry with him as he stood around outside listening to the laughter in the room and feeling sorry for himself.

However, I also know that the show dies manipulate the characters in it and basically sets people up to fail!

Collins really pissed me off - gaslighting to the nth degree, saying she badmouthed the honeymoon, when it was him who made it the awful time it was.

Ok, ready to get flamed, but does it really matter what manbun was up to before the experiment?? Like yeah I’m dating someone but she’s not the one, I found out I got into the experiment, I want to cut ties with her to find someone that could be the one? Idk girls…. I’m with Tori on this one.

Poor Nat! I’m so annoyed that she didn’t even get a proper chance at the experiment! Not sure what is up with Collins- is he avoiding the producers questions on purpose or is he just not all there?

@Italiangreyhound i think since the whole Jess drama their ratings went up so much and they tried to keep a sense of drama in the show.

And omg, Cam and Jules having a second baby? Love it!

I wonder if they might bring Nat back in the next series like they did Elizabeth after Sam had screwed her over. It would be the right thing to do.

Well, it means he applied for a show that is MEANT to be about being unable to find love while in a fairly serious relationship. Which would raise a lot of questions about his attitude to relationships and the show.

We do know though that a shedload of participants don’t go on the show in genuine hope of finding a life partner, so in that respect he’s not that different. He’s just made it more obvious.

@Floatinginvacherin but maybe he wasn’t dating anyone when he applied for the show, met the girl, then got on the show and dumped her? Doesn’t make him a bad person imo. I mean what about the other guy who was about to propose to his long term gf??

I think maybe the producers are making it out to be something it isn’t.

Also wasn’t there a preview of them kicking someone off the show? I wonder if it’s manbun getting the boot because of the article…

The experts seemed pretty sure it meant he was with her during the application process though?

The guy who has been planning to propose had broken up with his girlfriend and she’d cheated on him. He might be horribly on the rebound but he was single!

I found an article in which Collins said he applied for a dating show in 2021 which was cancelled due to Covid.
He was then approached to join Mafs but was ditched at the last minute for the last two seasons.

There was ample opportunity to weed him out as he would have met the experts then.

The fact they had screened him multiple times and then paired him with someone so vulnerable is negligent in my view.

I think Tori can see what Jack and has resigned herself to be the new Harrison/Bronte couple. They got lots of exposure which is probably what she’s there for. She’s been made to look foolish as she was shown to be strong and independent and now she’s tolerating dickish behaviour.

Have been following this thread and had to put my 5 cents worth in about Collins as it made such uncomfortable viewing.

As others have said I think he is clearly ASD and not able to regulate his emotions or pick up on others' cues. He should NEVER have been put on the show and I am cross MAFs have used him for entertainment as well as ruining Natalie's experience.

I'm so pleased to see Natalie has walked. It was unethical putting someone so recently bereaved on the programme. She's nice but should have been told to come back next year. Even if Collins was the most solid guy in the world it was too much to expect him to look after a stranger in the rawest stage of grief looking for a distraction.

If Collins had refused to (or wasn't able to) answer John's questions at interview why TF did they let him on? Whatever his intentions he has now made himself very visible and mentally vulnerable as it looks like he is hiding something.

Jayden and Lauren seem so perceptive in their different ways!

I hope he hasn't done something stupid at the attractiveness rating challenge which tomorrow's trailer might suggest. Wish they would stop that. The dickheads just use it as an excuse to upset their partners under the guise of honesty and it is probably quite lastingly hurtful to be ranked low (Melissa and Bryce).

I really like how it seems a lot less 'meta' than the UK series- the producers being part of it, they can refer to being on TV rather than 'an experiment', ulterior motives etc.

Jack... I don't think Tori is totally sold. She perhaps just didn't want to get into it at the table then have to go home with him so stayed quite neutral? She's stubborn and competitive rather than unable to resist his man bun by now.

Forgotten their names but the nurse and the travel guide .. I think her cousin saw more than we did to be so strident and it will come out later. He hardly answered reassuringly. I also felt the way he mentioned how his friend dying young changed his perspective on love in the video reel but not to the cousin was significant. As though he was happy to say it publicly and thought his friend would have seen the funny side but wasn't cynical enough to say it to the bride's relative's face.

We usually see them arriving at their apartments to move in - I would have liked to see what Collins reaction was on getting to the apartment & it becoming real that he'd be living with his wife

The other thing we've not seen this series is them telling their families that they're going to take part

I've almost forgiven Jayden his man bun, he was very perceptive. I hope whatever was in the trailer for tonight isn't too bad as at the moment I like him.

I'm astonished that Bryce and Melissa are still together. He has major domestic abuser/cheat vibes. They had twins though so maybe that will keep them together for a bit.
