New series starts on E4 on 26 February.

From DigitalSpy:

"The brand new season of MAFS Aus will arrive on the UK platform on Monday, February 26 at 7.30pm (followed by a new MAFS UK reunion at 9.30pm) – so set that date in your diaries"

That's my evenings for March and April sorted!!

Thread ready for our thoughts.

(If you have started watching by other means, please NO SPOILERS!)

Is it me or are the producers far more visibly involved in this series?

RachelGreensHair · 02/03/2024 21:44

I want to be friends with Lucinda.

Jayden has amazing bone structure and cheekbones, the right haircut would really show that off.

Totally agree, the man bun does nothing for him. In the brief shots of him with his hair down he looks so much better, when he has it up in a bun it seems to make his neck disappear so he looks like a weird head on a body type thing. But he seems lovely, I hope he doesn't turn out to be a dickhead.

TinselAngel · 02/03/2024 23:04

I predict Jack will eventually admit he doesn't fancy his wife because he thinks she's fat.

RachelGreensHair · 02/03/2024 23:33

I love how most of the girls on the show are natural, Jack can get in the bin if he tries to make her feel shit when she's far too pretty for him.

I really hate the trope of the normally built/curvy bridesmaid coming down the aisle and the fleeting look of panic on the groom's face as he thinks it is the bride and worries he will not get a ',hot' one.

Yes that moment was awful.

MaggieFS · 03/03/2024 09:01

It will be so interesting to see how Jack and Tori plays out. They both say they are ultra confidant, but she's actually lost her head a bit thinking he's really hot. And he's an arse. I think she's actually coming across a lot nicer than her intro VTs and he's coming across a lot worse.

sdqtb · 03/03/2024 11:27

Lucinda seems like such a beautiful soul.

I will be devastated if she ends up to be just like me.

Jayden has amazing bone structure and cheekbones, the right haircut would really show that off.

When he smiles he really reminds me of James Norton.

dapsnotplimsolls · 03/03/2024 15:39

Just catching up now - Jack is definitely being lined up to be this year's Harrison (loving Aldi Andrew Tate!).

Poor Lucinda.

Jayden appears to be lovely - I hope he doesn't end up like his brother.

DillDanding · 03/03/2024 15:48

I am the exception but I find Lucinda quite unbearable. The sort of person I’d avoid in rl.

dapsnotplimsolls · 03/03/2024 15:52

I was worried I'd hate Lucinda at the start but she seems ok. Mostly!

Villagetoraiseachild · 03/03/2024 17:50

What worries me about Lucinda is that because she describes everything in her universe as fabulous and glorious and in golden terms, (apart from a briefly referenced challenging period) that she is setting herself up for a disappointment....
She is very emotionally intelligent and full of heart and good intentions so I hope things come good for her.

JellyBeanFactory · 03/03/2024 18:10

I've a feeling we might get a little cross or exasperated by Lucinda as time goes on. All this seeing the good in everything is all very well until we get to the dinner parties and someone is a complete arse.

dapsnotplimsolls · 03/03/2024 19:25

How many more ceremonies are there? I want to get to the good stuff - dinner party!

embarrassedimaprat · 03/03/2024 19:26

I said James Norton too!

MaggieFS · 03/03/2024 19:52

I think I said earlier - Lucinda would drive me potty in person, but I do think she has a heart of gold. Don't think they'll work out though.

Villagetoraiseachild · 03/03/2024 21:26

Just spotted on my newsfeed that JJ Slater aka Groomio on the last MafsUk has got himself a better haircut and a new girlfriend....

someone called Katie Price.....

(Showmance or Romance?)

CharlotteLightandDark · 03/03/2024 22:31

I actually think Jack might be the biggest arse on MAFS yet. He basically told Tori she had to impress him in bed so he’d become more sexually attractive to her. He’s gross.

dapsnotplimsolls · 03/03/2024 22:37

He looks like he's had some 'work' around his eyes too.

Floatinginvacherin · 03/03/2024 23:43

Finally caught up on the week.

I’ve definitely noticed they are featuring the producers for the first time really. Is it to reassure us that the participants have people looking after them? I think after Bryce and Harrison they’ve had a lot of criticism over the wellbeing of people on the show.

There seemed to be a fat bridesmaid at most of the weddings and totally agree that it was a horrible ‘jokey’ moment every time. (I speak as a fat bridesmaid myself here.)

I’m finding it a joy to watch Lucinda, as a mature woman with strong self esteem. She reminds me a bit of Heidi of Mike and Heidi. I found the honesty box conversation actually fascinating, with Timothy being raw in his emotions opening up to her. More of this sort of thing rather than fake flouncing.

Jack is repellent and I am horrified that he made it on at all. Especially as I said because they got in such hot water with the past two series.

The cousin was a twat. Mitch remains a twat.

I hate the editing in this show because it makes me wary of liking any couples in the first two weeks - they always turn out to be awful. But so far I love Jayden and Eden and Tristan and his lovely wife whose name has totally escaped me.

Collins shouldn’t be on here. I don’t think it’s fair to have virgins on this show, either on them or their partners.

Have they confirmed that Collins is a virgin?

Floatinginvacherin · 04/03/2024 00:16

No, they haven’t I guess. Not like that guy a few series back or Belinda. They did say he’s never got beyond a first date and he doesn’t seem like a one night stand guy so we assumed…

FleurdeSel · 04/03/2024 00:43

Love Lucinda, not sure about Timothy.

Some of the cast are seriously unsuitable.

MaggieFS · 04/03/2024 06:44

After the bridesmaid in purple and then the cousin, the "hey I've spotted red flags" chat at the receptions is feeling forced and formulaic. PP may be right they're doing it for their own purposes (and I think we'll be seeing that cousin a fair bit!) but why surely it would be BETTER for an ixperiment to let the bride/groom work it out? I guess the producers want the drama?
