100% what was Alan thinking ??

Yes I never understand how it is so expensive if they have to cook it themselves

Can't they just go to the supermarket

I assume the task rules say they have to use the hugely overpriced food suppliers.

(Shame it's nothing like real life, otherwise I'd definitely be setting up my own business to flog event planners a few sausages and my toad in the hole recipe for £60 a head!)

Amdone123 · 03/02/2024 10:36

@CornishYarg it's almost like they're set up to fail 🤣🤔

CornishYarg · 03/02/2024 11:34

@Amdone123 I know, it's almost like it's all about the TV drama rather than business skills 😂

RabbitsRock · 03/02/2024 11:50

So bad it’s good!

TheOccupier · 03/02/2024 17:42

Just in case Asif hadn't made enough of a tit of himself by clapping in the boardroom and failing of Dragon's Den, he's also had to apologise and undergo "diversity training" after some terrible anti-Semitic social media posts he'd made came to light.

The Apprentice contestant apologises for offensive Israel tweets

Former NHS doctor Asif Munaf had shared tweets about Zionism and Israel

Oh god these will taste rank.

The guests' faces when they tasted
fish crumble...and then 'to be candid'...spoken with utter disbelief at how awful their feast was.
Pudding made without the flour😁😁

I can't quite work out who gave him this specialist training or when. The BBC? Evidently it's within that last year - but unsure if it was connected to his Dragon's Den, before his appearance on The Apprentice.or after (when is it filmed?).

Sugar himself isn't without contravesy on Twitter is he? Wonder if he met Asif on the training course 🤔.

Other thing i don't know, is if Sugar is a Zionist. I for the best part don't look at Twitter. Imagine but if he is this mist have happened after.

Maireas · 04/02/2024 06:57

Alan Sugar's tweets are nothing compared to this man's. They weren't just about Zionism, they were very offensive.

Maireas · 04/02/2024 07:09

The fish crumble was less than appealing! Always a fundamental mistake....do any of them seem any good?

You'd think the producers would check out his SM before he was accepted into "process". I'm assuming he doesn't last that long or there'd be a furore, and rightly so. I can't believe AS would want to work with an anti Semite and I don't believe any diversity course will have made a blind bit of difference.

Maireas · 04/02/2024 08:16

You'd think! This guy was an NHS doctor in Sheffield.

AnImaginaryCat · 04/02/2024 08:33

If you read the link @Maireas posted anti-zionist tweets were after the filming. It explains it more clearly.

I was just looking up the reaction to Asif's clapping his team losing. I think he arrogant enough to ride through whatever he does on this show that shows him negatively.

He doesn't appear to be a practising doctor anymore. He now helping men master mindset, muscle and money as host of the "Masculine Mastery" podcast and his wellness business.

Edited to add, I've made that sounds ike his wellness business for just men. Don't actually know if that's the case - the podcast is though.

Maireas · 04/02/2024 08:39

Yes, @AnImaginaryCat I read the articles.
I am aware that he is no longer a practising doctor.

Thanks for telling me that, but in ddn't say you weren't aware. 😖

Just pointed out he wasn't a practising doctor as he's devoting some of his time to helping men be more manly.

They can boot them out for misbehaviour - was it last year that one of them got booted for getting drunk on the plane when they had an overseas task?

Yes indeed.
However at one point he was a doctor. It's obviously better work getting men to be manly. 😆

Acatdance · 04/02/2024 08:59

If Asif didn't progress beyond the junior doctor stage, I can see why he wanted to go into business, as junior doctors work terrible hours for an underwhelming salary.

The Dragons told him to go back to medicine and work towards being a consultant, which wasn't bad advice. Of course, he ignored it - he ignored everything the Dragons tried to tell him about the branding and marketing of his product. His level of self-belief would serve him well as a consultant, as they always seem to project extreme confidence; presumably needed in critical medical situations.

Maireas · 04/02/2024 09:12

I think there's a need for self belief, not mindless arrogance.
Anyway. He's certainly persistent and will probably make it in business.

Not sure that I would want to find him as my consultant if I had some major medical problem, to be honest.

StaySpicy · 04/02/2024 11:11

We watched but not sure why. I actually get very frustrated at the tasks because they absolutely set them up to fail; feeding back what the client wants after they've made decisions about food/drink, doing market research after they've already made the prototype for their product, not allowing the sub-teams to communicate with the pm to discuss decisions once they've had the initial meeting etc.

It's far less about good business people and far more about trying to get some kind of storyline out of it. I hadn't thought about deliberate switching of breadcrumbs/crumble by production but it makes so much sense now someone said it. I'm not a business person by any stretch but even I could do better than most of these people, which leads me to believe they must be being set up in some way.

And I was also wondering about the missing 3 hours or so from the boys' timeline!!

Sumthingsweet · 04/02/2024 12:07

Why is he an anti semite ? Speaking out against genocide is correct . Disgusting what’s happening . Murdering babies ? Declining aid to hospital starving people to death ? Do you agree with this ?
