I love MAFS Australia, and it's started again this week in Oz. Does anyone fancy a watch along? I watch on SouthHemiTV.

Had a couple of tear in the eye moments this CC.

I read an online article about this today. Not posting here in case anyone doesn’t want spoilers.

The men though… god help mankind. The women aren’t much better. The amount of plastic surgery/inflated egos/tattoos/complex characters is unbelievable on both sexes.

Can someone explain to me why MAFS Aus is so popular in UK? I hardly ever see the English version!

The Aus version is way better than the UK one.

That’s what I thought! I’m sure I’ve seen the UK one but it was forgettable.

Can’t stand the advisors though. Wouldn’t trust any of them with my pet chihuahua.

The women all seem quite slim and tall and toned, so lots of time in the gym. Could also be plastic surgery going on too. The older women are still fairly slim and toned too, or relative to their age.

The older man (Tim/Timothy) what a complete and utter dick. As soon as I saw him on the Harley I thought yuck, then wafting around with his long scarves. Didn’t surprise me he’d spilled the beans on his wife’s sex life. He’s 10
years older than me but I’d run like the wind if I saw him in real life. The other Tim (Lucinda) he’s sweet, damaged obviously but seems maybe a bit sheltered. Lucinda is so in his face it’d do my head in.

It also irritates me how many are on their not for love/wife/husband but to further their career/15 mins of fame. Really not on at all. You’d think the makers would suss that out but maybe they don’t care and just want good tv. I really felt for Natalie too. She didn’t deserve Collins and his behaviour and she was so upset poor woman. Hope they found her someone else but unlikely. As a pp said if Collins is ND surely he shouldn’t be on the show as not fair to him or his future wife.

The Aus one has a big budget. The UK one is filmed on the cheap. Also I don't think they match many couples in the UK one, maybe 6?

It definitely seems more of a thing in Aus! Yeah let’s go on MAFS (the 2 brothers)!

Things I’ve taken from this series:-

• Aussie men seem to like to have long hair
• Aussie men have god awful hair like mullets/perms - in fact in 600 Bottles of Wine the main character her ex had a very dodgy hairstyle
• Aussie men and women have insanely high and unjustified opinions of themselves especially re looks. I’m not saying British aren’t the same but a lot of them seem very vain and love themselves. The worst culprit is the fitness trainer man who did the Tarzan rope swings.

Lucinda is with (older) Timothy. Sara is with (younger) Tim.

Ah the lip thing! Eden's is far too prominent, but Sara's is very good if you compare with early photos of her on Instagram she has had it done really well. However she looks like a good 38 or 39 years old, and what's all with the ex boyfriend Fuck boy?? Tim needs to dump jer

I am waay behind you lot but i just had to say: Tori makes my blood boil.
She is SO arrogant.
She has this persona that she is a badass bitch, is too cool for school, has everyone sussed out & is a strong independent
sassy woman... she couldn't be less of any of those!
She is completely deluded and in fact fallen completely & blindly under the spell of a misogynist.

She seems to think the camera loves all her facial expressions & reactions.
I find it all so tragic.

Who knows if Lucinda and Timothy will ever end up being more than friends. I doubt it.. however I love the fact that he is now doing things for her that he knows will make her happy. It's lovely to see the progress and him starting to think about her and not just himself

I didn’t like how Ridge spoke over Andi, wouldn’t let her talk at all. Then Richard latches on to ‘oh well you can’t remember, I can’t remember, therefore it couldn’t have happened and you’re a liar.’ Run Andy, run for the hills!

I had every sympathy for Richard. She gaslit him and not very well. As he says, why doesn’t she just say that he’s not the man for her and leave? All he wants from her is for her to be straightforward and say what she means. All the game playing would do my head in.

And Tim just wants Sara to “be nice” to him. What incredibly low standards these people have.

@BIossomtoes initially I liked Richard, but I understand where Andi is coming from, I think she’s got scared, maybe because of past relationships, he was a bit full
on. I don’t think she was gaslighting him in this episode, as she was trying to say it was on the retreat, around the fire or whatever and he wouldn’t accept that he may well have said something, he basically shut the conversation down.
Obviously it is heavily edited, but I felt that Ridge went too far in his spiel. Not a very good psychiatric nurse if he won’t allow people to talk.
as for Tim and Sara, omg he needs to grow a pair and get out of toxic relationships, she’s awful, conniving, deceitful, gaslighting continually. Horrible woman.

I thought that too. It was very disjointed and she never complained that she didn't have a chance to reply. I'm sure she did.

I loved the Bullshit Detectives, I love how playful Lucinda and Timothy have become, but I did feel like there was too much shit-stirring by the producers in this episode and it was almost entirely geared towards lots of people having a pop at Jack and Tori. (Rightfully, but they are not the only couple in the ixperiment)

And he did say those things multiple times. Just because she can't remember the exact words he used and stumbled to explain the location, while he glared at her with his jaw jutting out (around the firepit, at the retreat, and from memory he bellowed in a self-pitying voice that they weren't fucking), doesn't mean he hasn't repeatedly referred to their sex life publicly, which upsets her, and in terms that specifically upset and embarrassed her.

They are not in their twenties, they have adult children, and they're on tv and he said on the couch: "We gazed, we hugged, we sucked, we fucked."

This upset her, she's explained exactly why. He knows. He's done nothing but sulk and pout since. The experts and her friend gaslit her into thinking it was just her "walls" going back up, and she's been trying to open back up to him, but he's repulsed her, and he is clearly trying to bully her into having sex with him again. Despicable.

I really dislike Timothy. He’s horribly condescending - constantly asking what he can learn from someone so young.

Ridge is obviously a pretty chilled out guy, he’s young and a bit laddish but no red flags I can see and the others were waving them much quicker:

All right @seafoamgreenhair, if all that’s true why hasn’t she just written leave and fucked off? Or told him straight? Don’t give me she’s scared of him, they’re surrounded by production crew, she couldn’t be safer.
