Love the period feel, and the acting/dialogue is first class. Want to punch the men for the attitudes, but I suppose times were different then. Secretly love the lead ad man and would let him test the effectiveness of his deoderant around me...

No we watching it too and loving it. Donald is very sexy, not least because of the Gene Hunt-type outrageousness. Makes me feel like coughing all the way through it. Lol at the gynae doctor giving the secretary an internal and a talking to whilst smoking a fag!

So glad I am not alone. Dh feels very sorry for the wife and reckons he could rescue her and show her how supportive men can be Nothing to do with her being a perky size 8 blonde I'm sure.

It's really fab. Explained to My DH very clearly that this is why feminism happened. I both love and despise Donald, which ambivalence in the characters is why it is so good.

I love it too whilst at the same time spluttering with outrage at the sexism. So grateful to the sisterhood back then for getting feminism going (still along way to go re equal pay of course).
I was both impressed and apalled at the ability to do washing up in rubber gloves whilst smoking a fag !
