I loved it too. Despite all the vile and putrid insults about Barney Walsh on Twitter, saying he was crap/a load of shite/embarrassingly bad etc etc etc. And nasty comments like 'he's only on it because he has a famous dad.' Loads of people are famous/on tv/in film because they have a famous relative. Or are close to someone in the industry.

I thought he was good, and so was Bradley. I enjoyed watching them, and I enjoyed watching the Gladiators/The Game. I am loving some of their characters! It was so much fun, and was very close to the original from the 1990s. Unlike Wheel of Fortune which they have altered, and it's terrible IMO. I watched it last week, and this week, and that is enough for me!

I will be watching Gladiators every week though. 😊

We went to watch it live as part of the audience and there is one who is trying to step up as the bad boy (I think they need time to develop their characters so to speak) I can’t remember his name
it was great fun to watch.

They DID bring back Blind Date. In 2019. It lasted 2 seasons. It was shit, and was axed after 2 seasons. Not even the brilliant Paul O'Grady who hosted it could save it. This was a case of 'should have left it in the past where it belonged.' It just didn't work in 2019-2020, and was full of arrogant numpties, influencers, and fame-seekers acting like obnoxious nobs.

DH and I both loved it and commented on 3/4 of the contestants being in our age bracket (we are 33 and 40). Clearly all the 80s and 90s babies who watched in the first incarnation getting their chance to face the gladiators! Lovely nostalgic watch that took me back to cosy Saturday family nights with baywatch, gladiators and blind date!

We all loved it in our house. Brings back lovely childhood memories for me!

Me and my bestie were watching Gladiators earlier and he said the same thing!!!

Loved it overall. However I much preferred the old Suspension Bridge where they swung the massive balls at the contestants to this one where they swing themselves

I thought Barney was much better than Bradley…much more human and interested in the contenders. Bradley was all about Bradley. They really need a female presenter instead of Bradley. Maybe someone like Alex Scott. They are missing a massive trick with 2 male presenters.

I watched it for nostalgia purposes too, and I enjoyed it. I like the women's battles better as the men's ones often feel too unevenly matched - some of those male Gladiators are absolutely massive. But I don't like that both hosts are white men in suits - can we at least have a man and a woman please?

I do think it lacks something without a female presenter…especially when 50% of the contenders and 50% of the gladiators are female.

I loved it, it’s exactly how it was when I watched it with my brother and sisters as a child. Real nostalgia, we always used to jump around and ‘scrap’ after watching it. Watched it with DD who is 11 and she really enjoyed it too.

I don't think there HAS to be a female presenter as well as a male. Who cares? And why? Just to box tick. Seems daft. Bradley and Barney do it well together.

Just saw an old gladiator today on Sunday morning TV Ace who apparently joined in ‘96 ( now I feel old) is training to be a minister having found Jesus.

Of course there doesn’t HAVE to be a female presenter….it would in my opinion be much better if there was. Bradley is crap!

I liked seeing it on again and lovely to watch with my kids now.

I do think some of the male gladiators are too big though. Most of them are 6ft 4inches, so too unbalanced.

The ladies looked great and I'm very envious.

I didn't like the presenting I'm afraid. I agree with pp that someone like Alex Scott would have worked better, hell, even Danny Dyer! Him comiserating the men doing crap would have been funny😂it's only one show in though and they might soon find their stride.
