New series needed to see me through Winter

I've recently watched Fleabag (late to the party obviously), Catastrophe (likewise, loved it), This Way Up, Series 2 and 3 of Afterlife, Motherland all series (for the umpteenth time) and loved them all. Is there anything out there as good as these? I need something to see me through the rest of the cold dark nights! Thanks.

I've just finished watching Poker Face which I loved.

You need to stick with Schitts Creek - it’s all about how these horrible characters develop, at the start I felt like I didn’t care much for them, but it’s brilliant as it goes along.
Modern Family
The Office (US)
Killing Eve (written by PWB, Fleabag)
Bbc Ghosts
Only Murders In The Building

Pinkelephant26 · 29/12/2023 09:48

Black Mirror if you haven’t watched it
Space Force is light and funny
Dead to Me
Inventing Anna
The Queens Gambit
Detectorists
Anxious People
Lupin
Young Sheldon

Bad sisters is worth a month's Apple TV subscription on its own

Agree with lots of the above.
Inside No.9 and Ghosts both have really good podcasts to listen to after each episode.
if you have Apple TV, I highly recommend Slow Horses

My favourite programmes Smile

Of you're looking for something lengthy try A Million Little Things.

I stream it, as I'm not in UK I'm not sure what platform it's available on for you.

It's 5 or 6 seasons and each season has 15 to 20 episodes. I'm almost finished it now so am taking note of these other suggestions for my post AMLT marathon.

cheapskatemum · 01/01/2024 08:01

If you liked Downton Abbey, then I suggest:
Bridgerton
Sanditon
Queen Charlotte
And second The Gilded Age.

You might also like:
Virgin River
Chesapeake Shores

Hebburn
The Cockburns
Office USA - but stick with it past first 3 episodes

I have v similar taste to you OP and I'm not convinced any of the ones named above will appeal, other than Derry Girls, Upstart Crow, The Detectorists and Ted Lasso. Haven't seen the Norwegian ones though. I also loved This Is Us.

I loved The Job Lot ( ITV X or Britbox), Raised by Wolves (C4), Bad Boys (C4), No Offence (C4), Such Brave Girls (C4). A bit different but I'm also looking forward to the new series of The Traitors on C4 after I abandoned watching the last series after the undeserved winner of the last series was on The Weakest Link recently and announced they'd won Angry

fml666 · 01/01/2024 11:49

I do love Inside No. 9 too. Going to try Dlow Horses, never heard of that.
