I haven’t had time to check what’s on over the festive period, so not a clue what’s worth watching.
Is there anything you are particularly looking forward to?

The new Agatha Christie drama. I think it starts on 27th

OhNaffOffYouWazzock · 22/12/2023 22:20

Ghosts. Annoyingly will probably have to wait to watch it, unless I can think of a reason to sneak home early from PIL.

CousinGreg55 · 22/12/2023 22:23

The only thing I am looking forward to is Ghosts. The final episode, can't wait!

autienotnaughty · 22/12/2023 22:32

Strictly Xmas special
Xmas task master
Big fat quiz of the year
1% club
Traitors
Xmas goggle box

The drama about viagra looks quite good too

DottyPencil · 22/12/2023 22:33

Ghosts
First time in decades that I haven't bothered with a Radio Times.

sheeplikessleep · 22/12/2023 22:37

Eastenders but a bit of a guilty pleasure tbh 🤣

TrackerBar · 22/12/2023 22:42

Another one for Ghosts! I also can't wait for the new series of Inside No. 9, but that will also be the final series.

I love spooky stuff like BBC 2's a ghost story for Christmas. I particularly enjoyed The Mezzotint with Rory Kinnear last year. Also, the Inside No. 9 Bones of St Nicholas last year was fab. I hope there will be at least some creepy and atmospheric shows like that this year!

VivaciousRadish · 22/12/2023 22:53

Traitors, and I’m hoping The Sound of Music will be on somewhere, as I fancy watching it

Custardpudding · 22/12/2023 23:02

The tourist!

Nitgel · 22/12/2023 23:21

No. Ghosts is like kids tv

Soubriquet · 22/12/2023 23:23

Call the Midwife. I’ve just purchased a tv licence so I can watch it. I normally watch things like Netflix, Disney plus and prime, so don’t need a licence

BigcatLittlecat · 22/12/2023 23:24

Tabby McTat

Davros · 22/12/2023 23:28

Mog

stayathomer · 22/12/2023 23:30

Another for the big fat quiz and Christmas goggle box and if they have a bake off too!

I think there's a Mark Gatiss thing on that looks spooky

Brilliant kids TV. Such great escapism.

TheChosenTwo · 22/12/2023 23:33

Nothing I fancy at all.
I don’t watch a lot in general though, not heard of a lot of the stuff mentioned so far on here.
I had been looking forward to the second series of vigil but the first episode bored me so didn’t bother pursuing.
Bah humbug!

I'd say more family TV thank kids TV.
It's something we enjoy together which is rare in our family.

Bigdishlittledish · 22/12/2023 23:37

Bought a copy of What's on TV. Bit of a throwback and I will enjoy circling in red pen all the programmes I plan to watch (and inevitably won't).

vincettenoir · 22/12/2023 23:38

The Here We Go Xmas spesh

TrackerBar · 22/12/2023 23:39

Thanks @MargotMoon I've just googled it and there's one on Christmas Eve called Lot No 249. Can't wait!

MargotMoon · 22/12/2023 23:41

That’s the one! Looks good

weebarra · 22/12/2023 23:44

Mog
Ghosts
Tabby McTat

My DCs are 16 (tomorrow!), 13 and 10. They all remember Mog's Christmas so that may be 1/2 hour of peace.

BrendasIronSledge · 23/12/2023 00:01

I'm really looking forward to Lot No 249 as well. Sadly Gatiss has indicated it might be the last Christmas spooky he does due to funding.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 23/12/2023 06:50

Ghosts
Xmas Pottery Throwdown (sadly at the same time as Ghosts so we'll need to choose and watch one on catch up)
Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Hogmanay Fishing
Agatha Christie thing

As usual the films on offer on terrestrial telly aren't great but we're saving the new Chicken Run on Netflix for family watching on Xmas Day
