I don't know if anyone else does this but sometimes in those pub/cafe/bistro scenes I observe the extras in the background pretending to chat and act normally. We'll never know but I think some of them may do a better job than the "real" actors.

What's the deal with Steve and Tracy?
He keeps hinting to others that he's unhappy in the marriage. When he went fishing with Tim, he admitted that it was a loveless, miserable marriage (if memory serves me correctly).
I mean, they have one adult daughter together. If you're not happy in the relationship, get out. Just don't go bitching about her to others!
I don't know if this is a storyline they're going to explore, or one of those conveniently forgotten ones.

Yes I commented a while back about the fishing trip remarks which seemed to have come from nowhere. I suspect it’s laying the groundwork for Tracey having an affair as I noticed a spark between her and Tommy Orpington (I think that’s who it was) when he bought some flowers in her florist before Christmas and to be honest the state of Steve these days and his barbed comments about her I wouldn’t blame Tracey one bit!
