The couple next door-for those who've binged the series

Spoilers...

Well, I was very disappointed with the ending. This series is so good, the chemistry was off the scale but......I want to know what happens next! How does Danny explain everything to the police? Does Pete survive? Did Evie mean to shoot him or was it an accident? Did Pete actually pull the trigger himself? Surely Evie's dad will be ok as the hitman had a sniper rifle! The loose ends need thing up! Arrrrggghh. So frustrating.

I’ve just finished and I am FURIOUS! 😂spoilers I get that maybe Evie killed Pete and her dad killed the gang sniper (but should be okay because the sniper was about to shoot Danny) but that doesn’t wrap it all up - what about the fact that Danny is about to be arrested for his involvement in the gang robbery? Am I missing something?!

Sam Heughan has zero chemistry with either of the lead actresses. He's gorgeous to look at but he clearly needs a solid female lead to act with because his acting was fairly awful. Either that or he really can't act and he was really in love with Cait! Lots of clenched jaw 1000 yard stares...

Agree that Sam Heughan was rather wooden and outacted by the female leads ... even Pete.
Fish-killer Evie got on my nerves, with the exaggerated 'come to bed' eyes and coy smiles.
The Australian lass was excellent.

Totally random, but it struck me that a staunchly religious couple wouldn't have an open bath in the middle of their holiday home!

Agreed with the cottage being a bit too lux for the extremely religious parents. So out of character!

Worth watching the original on channel 4 catch up, called The Swingers and it’s fabulous! It’s under the’ Walter presents’ part of the website.

The ending was left loose to allow for a potential season 2. I've read that in the original book, all 4 die in the end. As for the Dutch series, Pete killed Becka at the end of season one and he is jailed. The rest of the seasons go on from there. I'm glad nobody got killed in the channel 4 version. I liked all 4 leads.

I still don't get the point of pervy Alan. I thought he would be pivotal to the story.

Also in book, from what I have read on the Internet, Becka colluded with Evie to get her pregnant by putting holes in the condom.

Oooh, very interesting! So our version is very different then.

I don't really want a season two though, I wanted it all tied up at the end of this series. I think Evie would probably be classed as mentally unstable, trauma from the miscarriage etc. So maybe she'd get away with trying to murder Pete. I have no idea how Danny would be able to avoid a prison sentence for his part in the robbery/police escorting.

Just came her because have literally just binge watched it all!! Thought it was brilliant and that's strange from me because I usually hate British dramas!

I disagree about the wooden acting, that's clearly the type of character he's meant to be.

I loved Becka in it she is amazing. Wondering if there's going to be more? Hate it when things just end like that with so many things happening!

I didnt think it was good , as others have said evie really was an annoying character as it went on Danny was a bit unbelievable. Becka was good and the neighbours were good. Zero chemistry between all of them . A bit of a disappointment

Me too. Also did not get what pervy Alan was all about - also thought would be pivotal, but no. DH and I found the whole Leeds/Not Leeds thing pretty distracting initially but ultimately infinitely more interesting than the ‘plot’.

Pervy Alan was I guess mainly there to facilitate the downfall of Becka's empire? I don't know. Hugh Dennis did a great job of that!

I found Evie difficult to watch, bit wooden (although that seems a recurring theme with these actors!) but she became more believeable the creepier/more obsessive her character become.

The whole thing just didn't hang as believable. The characters didn't pull it off. We have Becka who is suppose to be really emotionally intelligent and all about how to this 'right' yet she reckons dragging the traumatised lady next door who just lost her last chance a baby into a casual sex ring will end well? Danny and Becka have a relationship where they share everything and are very into the boundaries etc yet he keeps a baby hidden that he had ages ago and compromises his whole career as a cop to steal money to pay maintenance? You wot now?

Thought this had so much promise but hated the ending! I really hope they don't drag it out to more series. Thought in the end it was a conventional morality tale upholding monogamy, boring!

Very silly! The whole thing was completely ridiculous. Becka and Danny have 'rules' about their swinging, then 10 mins later they're out the window, we are expected to believe that a police officers home is so unsecure that an old man can just wander in and find homemade p0rn, they have swingers parties and go off on days out whilst their kid is where??, the secret love child story was stupid, Pete has to be the worst undercover journalist known to man as he appears everywhere gurning then gives away his source because he was angry and had 2 sips of whisky, and above all everyone has pretty average jobs yet live on an estate that looks like Desperate Housewives with massive American mansions?!! In Leeds 😂😂
